guerneville, sebastopol may see a little bit of rain but that's all that's left of this system. i want to show you these totals for a lot of the fire areas: i'll talk more about the temperatures now that the rain has passed coming up. jaclyn. >>> thank you. right now we are tracking an accident -- in fact, two separate accidents. this is in the napa area. we have highway 12 heading westbound approaching tully road one lane blocked, injury crash. looks like a big rig and another, um, truck got into it there as well as southbound 29 just as you are approaching 221. so right in that same area we have two accidents definitely going to be slowing you down if you are heading through the napa junction area. we have slowdowns westbound, 40 minutes between 80 and 101. a lot of folks are using 37 as an alternate with the closures in the north bay. so we have seen a lot of accidents on that stretch and we are dealing with some wet slick roads. 13 minutes across the richmond/san rafael bridge. we'll continue to track some more slowdowns coming up in the next traffic report. back to you. >>

classes at a high school in sebastopol resumed this morning. solano county students went back to class yesterday more than a week after the atlas fire forced schools to close. while the wildfire is no longer an immediate threat, some parents are concerned about the lingering smoke in the air. many students wore masks when they returned yesterday. >> i didn't think she needed to, you know, but she is like, i'm gonna wear it. >> solano county school district officials say they have masks available for any students who need one. they are also monitoring the air quality to determine how much time students should spend outdoors. amid all of this destruction, we are still learning some stories of hope. >> we have learned that 50 babies were born in the north bay last week even as the flames spread from town to town. raley is one of them. she was supposed to be born at sutter but she had to deliver at santa rosa memorial. >> it will always be a reminder of what the community is going through. so i'm sure we'll remember the fires for the rest of our li

firefighters from sebastopol are guarding homes on white oak drive. they can't attack the fire. they are on standby, guarding and protecting these homes if the fire were to crossover. firefighters say the good news is the wind is low and is predicted to stay low. fire travels faster up to but this fire is not aided by the wind. it is spreading off of the drive fuel on the ground. there is a curfew for mandatory evacuation areas from 6:45 pm yesterday until 715 there is a curfew for mandatory evacuation areas from 6:45 pm yesterday until 7:15 am this morning. 5000 people have evacuated to 24 different shelters. we do have some road closures. santa rosa police say to avoid eastbound sonoma highway 12. that is closed near glen allen and also at melita road. there are some downed power lines and fear of the fire. we do have an official coming out here with cal fire in a couple of moments to give us an update as to what's happening with this particular fire. he mentioned they lost homes in sonoma county last night. they do not have an exact number just yet. they are deploying teams t
