first our team coverage kicks off with meteorologist kari hall tracking it neighborhood by neighborhood. who is still seeing it all? >> the rain has cleared the bay area but we've been talking about what we've called the bomb cyclone for days now. and this is the reason why. as we loop the past 48 hours, we can see this storm intensify. it's called that because of the measures of low pressure in the center of the storm that dropped 24 millibars within the course of a day. when it intensified that quickly, we saw copious amounts of rainfall that happened to some tropical moisture and brought it right into the bay area. as we look at what's going on now, a lot of the rain tapering off but still that chance we could see a few spotty showers in the north bay as well as some other parts of the bay area by the next couple of hours. but, yes, take a look at the rainfall totals. all of this had to go somewhere. when it flowed down from mt. tam it went to a lot of the valleys and creeks and caused a lot of flooding. and santa rosa, over 8 1/2 inches of rain. oakland hills, more than 7 inches of

some drivers were caught off guard yesterday because they were not watching kari hall. powder was coming down. others were just happy to see wet weather after a really dry season. some places got up to two feet of snow. not enough to go snowboarding and skiing and all that, but it's a nice start. >> yeah. keep in mind it's october and it was a nice way to start to build the snowpack. mt. rose got 42 inches of snow. of course they have been tweeting about that. there were a lot of spots that did get decent amounts of snow. looking at the forecast, well, it's pretty dry. one inch, maybe a dusting over the next week or so. this is the last little bit we will see for a while. we do have one more system passing by two our north that is bringing in scattered light showers. the northbound will have the best chance of seeing this rain for today, especially by late morning and early into the afternoon. i will stop it here at 1:00. looks like santa rosa, napa, ukiah could see a slight chance of seeing rain pushing through. our main focus will be the north bay. anywhere across the

kari hall monitoring all of that. how is it looking? >> it's going to be a great weekend. it's looking so beautiful out there. i like this view looking at the bay bridge. it's clear right now. we've also seen some fog rolling over the golden gate bridge. a little mixture of it all. that's going to keep those temperatures near the coast and at golden gate park. we'll see those temperatures here in the next hour in the mid-60s and holding steady there only making it up to 68 degrees during the middle of the day and cooling down as we head toward 6:00 to 7:00. make sure that you're bundled up if you're going there. but you won't even need a jacket if you'll be in saratoga. this is a popular destination for a lot of families this weekend. the pumpkin patch. queen's pumpkin patch, headed for the mid-70s at 2:00 to 3:00 this afternoon and this evening. we're going down to about 67 degrees at 6:00. a look at all of our microclimates and the temperatures. it's so nice. only reaching into the low to mid-70s for inland areas, but it will be cooler this weekend. we'll talk more about
