scott and sarah isgur. welcome to all of you. rachel, i want to start with you, because you've been on the ground this week talking to women across the country on both sides of this issue, what are you hearing? >> you know, something that stuck out to me an abortion provider, said people who are suddenly outraged by this haven't been paying attention. 26 states will likely either outlaw abortion altogether or severely restrict access. women will go through whatever hurdle necessary in order to have a choice. our team was down in wichita, kansas, speaking with a woman who had to wait 37 days to get an appointment. for an abortion. she was traveling from the state of texas. which has now banned boabortions early as 6 weeks. oklahoma, a state that used to be a safe haven for women traveling from places like texas no longer will be, abortions have all but stopped in that state. that's the next domino to fall. women in that state will have to go elsewhere. >> alex, republicans in congress haven't really said muc

scott is tracking it all. good morning, rachel. >> reporter: george, good morning. this is shaping up to be a critical week in the battle over abortion rights and what democrats are calling the fight of a generation. over the weekend, thousands of people took to the streets rallying to send a message to the conservative-leaning justices on the bench. some gathering outside of the home of justice brett kavanaugh and chief justice john roberts. those demonstrators part of a majority of americans who believe roe versus wade should be upheld. but across the country, if roe is overturned, at least 26 states would either ban abortion or severely restrict access to it. leaders in those states say it wuld be a long time coming, george. >> rachel, given the divisions on capitol hill, this move by the democrats to pass a national law to protect abortion rights is largely symbolic. >> reporter: right, george. in just 72 hours they will force a vote on legislation to protect access to it. for millions in this country, it
