in the east bay san leandro. police are now searching for a man who they say. >> tried to rob 2 people at a 7.11, officers responded to the 7.11 on 14th street early this morning. 2 victims said a man pointed a gun at them and demanded their belongings. but the suspect fled the area without taking anything. officers were talking with the victims. they say they spotted the suspect across the street. police say when officers were trying to approach him, he fired a single shot and then he pointed the gun at himself and threatened to commit suicide when the officers are trying to convince him to drop the gun. the suspect ran away again. police say they couldn't find him, but they did find that firearm. there it is right there. nobody was hurt. anyone with information is asked to call san leandro police more than 1000 restaurant employees at san francisco international airport walked off the job today. >> the union workers say that their contracts were old and that they haven't received a raise for years now. so let's

fire fighters are now investigating what caused this fire reporting live in san leandro. emma gauss ktvu. box two news. thank you. oakland firefighters they were investigating an arson. as the cause of a possible three small fires that broke out last night along interstate 5 80. it happened around six pm between 35th and coolidge avenue. video from twitter shows the flames near fruitvale avenue, just outside of the guardrail there, the fires were quickly put out and did not spread to nearby homes and road flares were found at the scene. last week, five homes were damaged in a much bigger fire in that same area fires may not be related. so this incident we were able to deem that this one was arson based upon the stuff that was found at the scene here tonight in the fire we had last week or on friday was that one is still under investigation as well. we've got multiple investigators working on that one. and that one still is under investigation. so they are two separate incidents. they just happen to be in close proximity to each other. there was no word yet if there are an
