that's oprah pushing democrats in the key battleground state of pennsylvania. we can report that tomorrow, there will be rallies there with biden, trump, and obama. so if you think about it, if there's one thing both parties do seem to agree on right now on this final friday heading into the midterms weekend, it is that pennsylvania is clearly important. important because it's close and it could decide control of the entire u.s. senate. now, oprah's appearance is not just about rallying democrats, although she's been an obama endorser for some time. it also is striking, because it is her very direct effort to draw a public line in government against someone that she famously embraced in media and business. dr. oz's whole career and current prominence really stems from oprah evaluating the doctor from guest to peer. >> i ended up doing about 88 shows with her. over the course of my career. we are close. >> dr. oz, turn around here and look at this wall. there's the wall. on that wall are all of these faces and these are just some of the people who told us that s

not only because oprah launched dr. oz's tv stardom but because oz has called oprah a friend who he asked not to get involved in the race. in a statement the oz campaign wrote, dr. oz loves oprah and respects the fact that they have different politics. he believes we need more balance and less extremism in washington. there's growing angst that we may not know the results of the senate race here in pennsylvania for days if not weeks. one reason, a potential for lawsuits. election workers must now scrutinize a million ballots more carefully. that takes time. after recent court decisions, counties must segregate and not count all mail-in ballots that are missing a date or have an incorrect date on the outer envelope. it's already causing headaches for election officials. >> we don't know exactly what wrong date is. whether it doesn't contain the year or month. we're not going to make that determination without further guidance from the department of the state. >> if this race is decided by a few thousand votes, expect to
