the march went from dolores park to civic center plaza. people were crowns and t-shirts showing exactly what they think of president trump and his policies, and put it on their signs as well, all together saying the same message they want a president, not a king. now, this san francisco mother and her daughter joined the march and rally this afternoon. the mother, a u.s. citizen originally from ukraine, said the main message was a call for unity and peace. we are here to protest the president and say that this is not okay. we want peace. we want a government that is for the people. and it doesn't seem like that's what's happening right now. and protesters are also referenced this how wrong it was for thursday's on camera scuffle involving united states senator alex padilla. he was forcibly removed from a press conference in la, and signs right there calling to end or abolish ice were all over the city as well, some referencing what the president deploying the national guard, then the marines, after demonstrations over the administration's

this is a look at more than 10,000 people joining in san francisco's march from dolores park to civic center plaza. the protests were told, were mostly peaceful, as sfpd does say that a pedestrian was hit by a car during the march. the victim has non-life threatening injuries and the driver was detained. our crews also witnessed a brief scuffle between no demonstrators and supporters of president trump wearing maga hats. just a few small clashes. but our crews say for the most part, everything was peaceful, especially given the thousands of people outside. this, of course, all comes after nearly a week of tense protests over immigration raids and president trump's deployment of military troops to los angeles. all of these marches and rallies nationwide unfolding as the president held a parade celebrating the u.s. army's 250th anniversary. today in the bay's thom jensen continues our coverage. the san francisco no. king's protest was massive, and the messaging on the many signs and costumes was clear. the message is no kings. is that that america? we took care of a king 250 years ago,
