section 383 of the 2018 faa reauthorization act directed the faa to test and evaluate technologies andl safety risks posed by uas at any reports. what is the status of that testing? what feedback if you received from dhs, doj or other law enforcement partners? mr. rocheleau: thank you for the question. the testing at huntsville was very valuable. my understanding is 48 different uas's were tested in 30 different detection event tested at five different airports, most recently in new jersey. huntsville was a particularly important part of the effort. what we learned is that the detection capabilities are there today and we are working with airports or law enforcement and dod and dhs to make sure those detection equipment capabilities are there for the right people. the mitigation piece which we want to make sure as mentioned earlier since we are responsible for the safety of operating in the skies, we want to make sure the mitigation efforts are carefully put in place, because mitigation can in fact affect civil aviation traffic. that is part of the effort we are going through on the mi

the faa has some pretty laborious testing procedures. that process is underway and happening very quickly. after that we are laying fiber from interstate 92 newark. everybody who touches the problem stands up and helps fix the problem. regarding controllers, that has been a big topic of conversation. that has been seen probably to the biggest extent that services the newark airport. some background numbers, there is 22 controllers at billy, -- philadelphia, five supervisors. six of those 22 are on leave right now. there are 16 controllers who are training right now for the airspace. most of them are experienced controllers. on a rolling basis over the next year we will have more controllers, online. in addition we just brought in another six trainees into the philadelphia training con to help train. it can't be fixed overnight. it takes time. we have addressed the problem by bringing more controllers to train up that controls newark. over the course of the next months you will see improvements in this airport. in this airspace. day one w
