meteorologist kari hall is tracking what we can expect. good morning kari. and we are starting out with a look at our clear view in dublin as you get ready to head out. it's another cool morning start. and we're at 54 degrees with a very light wind. and as wee go throughout the morning, we are going to see temperatures in the upper 50s. a few more clouds rolling in, but then clearing out late morning. a sunny afternoon and it's going to be nice. you'll notice temperatures today will be a little bit lower compared to yesterday. in the middle of the day in dublin, we'll see a high of 73 degrees. it will be in the low 80s for concord, but still hitting 90 degrees in clear lake and ukiah. but most of the rest of the bay area will be cooling down a few more degrees compared to yesterday. now, tomorrow we start to see those numbers going back up. so instead of 75, in san jose it will be 79. still very comfortable and actually still cooler than what's normal for this time of year. so we'll see those mid 80s in the south county getting out on the roads this morning.

meteorologist kari hall has been tracking that. so what are we looking at today, kari. yeah, we've been talking a lot about how hot and dry it's been. and now the vegetation has dried out quite a bit. so as we take a look at our regional fire risk as we take a look at the grasses, that's the main risk right now as it is very dry and crispy at this point for the brush it's high. and what that means is basically a lot of our brush, our grasses have reached the very dry level and they don't have a lot of moisture in them. so if you do have any sparks that could spread a fire very quickly. so in preventing wildfires, this is the time to create some defensible space around your home. and also don't drive on any dry grass if possible. secure any tow chains that could give some sparks and use grills on paved surfaces, and also have an emergency plan. we talk about red flag warnings issued about 12 to 24 hours in advance, relative humidity at 15% or less with some frequent wind gusts and both occurring at the same time. thankfully, we are not seeing those conditions today. it i

of course, tracking those conditions as we kick off june kari. yeah, so we are still seeing the very dry conditions. it was so hot over the weekend and that just dried out the grasses and the brush even more. but as we take a look at our regional fire risk, one of the things that really has a high fire potential right now is the grasses across the bay area, because it's very crunchy, as you've probably seen, and the brush is high. that means that we've lost a lot of the moisture in the grass, the brush, as well as the trees. even the large trees have an elevated fire risk if they encounter a spark. it could cause a fire to spread very quickly. so now is the time to get that defensible space. do not drive on dry grass security toe chains, as well as using grills on paved surfaces. and make sure you have that emergency plan for red flag warning. we have to have relative humidity at 15% or less than high wind gusts. the good thing is that we're not seeing those conditions right now. we are still feeling temperatures in the 60s, but we'll be tracking
