let's check in with our meteorologist kyla grogan to see what happened. why it is the last day of june. that is true, isn't it? it's hard to believe. we've got sunshine and san jose. you can see it is beautiful there right now. not really the story, though. if you head over the golden gate bridge, the coast in spots like the golden gate bridge hanging on to that marine layer right now. and you can certainly see how it has brought some temperatures down a little bit. in fact, we're running a little bit cooler today in most spots than we were yesterday. and i'll show you in just a second. but not everywhere, right? livermore is 84 degrees right now. ers half moon bay is 57. that's your microclimate that work. everybody. this is the difference in temperatures from yesterday to today. so with the exception of half moon bay out of the coast, everyone is running a little bit cooler. they are less europe and santa rosa. and then i'd say it's a lot of it cooler. it's 11 degrees. cooler. and that has everything to do with our marine layer. that's kind of clinging

it's back now to santa clara now and check in with our meteorologist kyla grogan. is the host of the 2025 northern california special olympics. the summer games and that she has a friend with us to talk about what's happening tonight and over the weekend. >> yeah, would with one of my favorite people because this is tyler kroft mall in tyler. i'm gonna let you tell everybody your position. but he basically just does everything all the time for everybody to make sure that the athletes have an amazing time here. and tyler, you tell everybody your title, your official title. >> senior director of athlete leadership. so we have our special olympics athletes or people with intellectual disabilities and a lot of them. we train as a basket isn't as advocates. so you've had a couple on are ready to show today. they're able to sell their stories with just so much more powerful than even hearing to me. so we give them opportunities, leadership skills and actually helping to run this whole event this weekend. >> that's incredible. so it really is about more than just sports.

. >> our meteorologist kyla grogan is in the weather center with details. yes, a nice blue skies there. we did start off of a little fog this morning. but take a look here. you could barely make out. i saw like one or 2 tiny little cloud tops that was about it. pretty much cleared everywhere. yesterday, our highs were impressive above average. that's for sure. and santa rosa, 90 degrees there yesterday. got up to 89 in concord. you can see upper 80's in sandra fell most mid-eighties in livermore and then some kind of day 70's in san jose and oakland and san francisco got up to about 65. so that's about average. right? and today you can see stormtracker again has kind of cleared some of that marine layer. we're getting the coast is getting so that sunshine to and all across the state right now. just some beautiful, beautiful skies but inland. that means that we are set to warm up. and if we look at the difference in temperatures here, you can see precisely i was expecting that we would see the hottest temperatures. you know, you're above where we were yester

let's turn now to kyla grogan who is out live at santa clara university with a look. hey, kyla. >> and hey there, stephanie. it is a gorgeous day out today. here is santa clara. i met steven stadium where yes, the special olympics will be kicking off the games tonight with an awesome ceremony which are going to see. i can't wait to do that and see all the athletes and friends and then over the weekend there you games going to be going on. we've got great weather for that. so let's talk weather challis. take a look at things to take you first. now to the golden gate bridge where you can see that the sun is shining and the skies are blue. temperatures have been really nice today, but notice that we can see that things are warming up. that's for sure. >> take a look here. you can see already at the 80 degree mark in san jose. 83 in livermore and center is 82. so that's what's expected, right? is that those inland spots are going to get awfully warm little bit of a breeze out there. i don't mind saying it feels really nice where i am a san jose about 6 miles per hour. we c

let's check in now with our meteorologist kyla grogan. yeah. hey, there it is.l hanging at the coast, but boy, look at inland spots in california today. reading at 92. so we're starting to warm up in spots 90 in bakersfield, 70 in los angeles. >> and as you can see here up in the bay area, we kind of hanging out in the 50's in san francisco. so the marine layer is certainly present. you're taking a live look here from mount tam and you can see it is very close by. and so that means it will be returning this evening. but in the meantime, we're getting up into some nice temperatures here, getting some lovely mid to upper 70's and some of our inland spots and some 60's around the bay itself. 66 in napa right now, just the coast. that's kind of staying a little cool. if you are headed to the baseball game tonight where the giants are taking on the marlins about 6.45, it is going to be a bit gusty. so just get ready for that because that wind is going to be rolling tonight when that marine layer does come back in. and you know how that is it can go from, hey, it's ki

let's check in now with our meteorologist kyla grogan. it is taking the day off and temperatures are going to reflect that. in fact, we're warming up already in spots and inland. you could see where up to 88 degrees in reading right now. 75 in los angeles that is looking at east l a suspected to be 89 degrees today. and obviously we've got about 65 in san francisco. that is out at the airport. but if you take a look at oakland, 64 degrees right now. wind out of the southwest about 8 miles per hour to the wind has not quite picked up yet on the east bay side, but it is a little breezy out in san francisco right temperatures. you can see to 80 in santa rosa nevado. now 82 degrees. seeing lots of these 80 start popping here. concord just hit the 80 mark. >> pittsburgh. same story fairfield 82 around the bay itself. 66 in hayward. so that's pretty nice. and about 75 in san jose happened a little cooler there still. but today expecting these temperatures to be well above average in some of our inland spots today in particular. if you look at a

kron 4 meteorologist kyla grogan is in the newsroom with more. hi kyla. yeah. hey there. and you can see we've got the gray skies on the embarcadero and that is certainly keeping things a little cooler this morning right than yesterday. >> 57 degrees in san francisco. just 55 at half moon bay. you can see we're getting into the upper 60's in spots like san jose right now. but today overall will certainly be a cooler day than yesterday. now, when it came in this morning, i really saw a lot more green on this map meeting that the marine layer had a really nice intrusion last night and really brought some of that moisture to places that were little further inland than we had yesterday. and now you can see these numbers rise yesterday. we're looking in the inner east bay. we saw things in that 20 to 25% range. a lot of nice recovery happened with the marine layer last night and it got to about 2000 feet of depth. so that's been really good for us considering we did have a few of those grass fires that broke out yesterday. you can see these clouds are absolutely clinging to th

our meteorologist kyla grogan here now with those details yet. happy to say it's not a significant amount, but it's just the possibility of that. they want to make sure everyone's aware, obviously can see the beautiful blue skies here. >> in san francisco right now, but this is the forecast for air quality today. and so far today, we've kind of been toggling between green and yellow, meaning good and moderate air quality. and you can see san francisco down the green. we were in the ala just a little bit ago, parts of the east bay in the south bay. now sitting in that moderate category. but as we look at the surface smoke here, you can see that not a whole lot of it is currently made its way into california and the weather pattern kind of has it pushing a little bit more into the southern plains and over across the midwest towards the east coast over the next 24 to 48 hours. but it's certainly something to keep an eye on. and if you are extra sensitive to air-quality issues, just understand that that's kind of going on right now. low pressure down

we're going to check in now with our meteorologist kyla grogan. yeah, sure is.you can see the cloud cover here as we take a live look at san francisco as well. >> there are few little spots that are trying really hard to break through. but today it's kind of all about those seasonal temperatures inland where we've gotten into those upper 70's low 80's and then below average temperatures around the bay and at the coast tomorrow we will see more of the same. and then we look ahead, a little bit warmer on thursday, maybe a little more sunshine, kinda, getting into our forecast and then rolls back again as we get into the weekend. temperatures right now. 58 degrees in san francisco. that's all we've got. if you want those 70's to get ahead at spots like concord, san jose just hit 70 degrees. but obviously we're running cool today and we are breezy no doubt about it. this is not change has been like this all day today. really, you know, sometimes it starts a little bit less in the morning and more in the afternoon. and i do think we'll get more of the afternoon. but

but it's not clear what started the fire. >> our meteorologist kyla grogan is continuing our team coverage> yeah, that's right. and listen, we are getting a little bit windier out there this afternoon. it is our natural afternoon push of wind and it is onshore flow, which is certainly helpful because that means it's bringing in moisture cooler air as opposed to the offshore flow or we get a drying condition that happens from that. but the numbers here not terrible. today, we're about 12 to 15 miles per hour sustained wind in that area. you can see certainly higher numbers out in san francisco right now. and there is the marine layer coming in and we're looking for are secure tower camera right now. and that is certainly going to help moisture recovery as well across the bay area. doesn't always make it as far inland as we would like. but certainly helpful and it should make its way to some of the fire activity we just saw today. so good night for right now. temperatures you can see we are in the mid 80's in spots in the in the inner east bay, but we are only at 60 in san francisco. we you

meteorologist kyla grogan here now with the details. and the good news is it is on shore, not offshore for offshore wind. of course, that would mean more drying and more fire danger. nonetheless, it's incredibly gusty out here. these are sustained winds right now. you can see from san francisco up to napa. you know, we're above 20 miles per hour. same story in hayward, obviously half moon bay. 26 miles per hour. so we have a lot of dry grass out there. and that does give some concerns because of those gusts that are again. >> upwards of 35 40 miles per hour today. and tomorrow will be the same story near critical fire weather conditions, east bay and santa clara hills are probably the most vulnerable. but you know, it really anywhere that's come up in elevation with any dry grass. anything that starts could spread very quickly. so today tomorrow, you really want to make sure you avoid and equipment that could generate sparks, right? who might mean that you hold off on doing a lot work. the yard work until this passes us by part of the r

meteorologist kyla grogan is on the sun hunt for us today. that's right. look very, very hard today. it's lovely in fan has a right now. you can see those pretty blue skies that are out there. temperatures. >> city about 70 degrees. so pretty nice, right? 15 mile per hour. winds out of northwest. that's the one catch here is that we've got those breezy conditions today and the temperatures are certainly below average. in fact, uc san francisco here still hanging out in the 50's same story with half moon bay. but we are warming up a little inland. keeping that in mind, though, we should be a little warmer inland. i need fairfield where we should be this time of year. but everybody else is running a little bit behind. the wind is going to stay with us throughout the afternoon into a good portion of the evening. you can see here, in fact, we haven't even hit the peak of it yet. we're about to come to about 5 o'clock. and then finally it will start to roll down as we get later into the evening hours but really started off just right out of the gate today and i

and kyla grogan joining us now the studio give us an update. >> yeah. and you don't have be out there affecting your time with us yesterday. i kind of noticed at sunset that i start to see a little bit of the haze out there. so. >> quality is a concern today because we are under that air quality advisory. you can see lots of those yellow dots there indicating that we have slipped into the moderate space. and unfortunately, that has to do with some of the smoke that's coming down into california from the wildfires all the way up in canada. and it's surprising you think something that far away. but it just shows you how connected we are, right like it or not. that's kind of the way it goes. not too bad. as you saw, just moderate air quality, but somebody to keep an eye on. we also have the marine layer moving back in rather quickly as we get later into the afternoon, we've kept pretty cool out of the coast of those clouds that hung on. that's a nice 70's around the bay. and we actually got up into the 80's in particular in the inner east bay. got a little

i'm meteorologist kyla grogan is tracking the conditions for us now. >> yeah, i want tell you so obviously breezy today and you can see that here as we take a look at san francisco. 24 miles per hour. >> but tomorrow, that's when we're really going to see that wind ramp up. and that's why the concern is that we could have some of those power shut offs that happen because of the combination things kind of going on. now, one of the things that's good is that we're going to see temperatures actually go down tomorrow. let's talk about where we were yesterday for highs. we actually go to 90 degrees in santa rosa and you can see got very close to 89 in concord. 87 in sandra fell livermore more mid-eighties and then you know, more reasonable temperatures will be above average still and in other spots. but today we've had very little marine layer, right we had at this morning and then it kind of dissipated really quickly as expected. and we've had that high pressure take control and those temperatures have started to really go up. so the difference between yesterday and today, notice if you head u

kyla grogan, but maybe not as windy as last week. definitely knows what last week has just started to pick up really inland. you can see now are up to 20 miles per hour in oakland. it really was not that when those fires broke out, we were 5 to 10 miles per hour, basically over in the east bay. so >> we love our firefighters. they got on it. they got on those fires and they are successful today. and it's really good timing because as you can see, again, this wind will pick up. it's our normal seabreeze. it is coming from the ocean meeting that we do get a little moisture recovery. >> and that would be a good thing because right now take a look at a spotlight. concord. right now, we're just at 22% relative humidity. that means things are dry. so, you know, glad to see that everything kind of worked out that way. here is the marine layer to the rescue. look at this. it is just filled in. i was seeing san francisco just a few moments ago, but you can see our suture tower camera is now very much showing you the marine layer that is on th

we have meteorologist kyla grogan with details now. yeah, it gave us a little break today. so pretty happy for that. seeing some sunshine in spots in san francisco is one of them here as we take a live look for. you also notice that we are very breezy in san francisco right now that has picked up. this is the view from mount tam. and this morning when i look at this, it was just solid clouds couldn't see anything. and now at least got a little clearing there, too. but for sure, it's a little cool out at the coast where the clouds not 57 degrees at half moon bay. but here we go into the 80's livermore now at 83 degrees. this is what i was expecting today that we would see some of these spots kind of pop into the 80's and get a little closer to where we should be this time of year because inland, we should be about 84. 85 degrees this time of year and you can see it's stormtracker here just not as pervasive kind of broken up the clouds a little bit. even the ones hanging out at the coastline. so lots of sunshine inland certainly start to get a little bit of clearing in the no

kyla grogan. our meteorologist is here to talk about what's happening up there. yeah, a lot of sunshine. >> a little bit of a slip in that air quality. we're going to keep an eye on that this week with those i do think the weather will be on our side in pushing it away from us. as i mentioned, beautiful in san jose right now. temperatures there. i expected to be about 80 degrees today and that would put them about 3 degrees above average. so not bad. and certainly nowhere near the record fact from 1960, it is or is 106. that would be a heck of a way to start the month. i'm glad we're not doing that. but we did have an awful lot of heat as we got into, you know, last friday and saturday. but today a break, everybody. the temperatures are much more seasonal. kind of nice out there. 64 in san francisco right now. we are at 79 in concord, 82 in fairfield. so you got head inland. if you want to see some of that heat. but santa rosa right now just sitting at 69 degrees. that's when a spot that's been relatively cool today. kind of hanging on to some cloud cover. get a

meteorologist kyla grogan here now with details. yeah, i found some sunshine out there, but certainly we do have the clouds hanging on to get a little bit breaking through here in san francisco, half moon bay definitely still socked in. but the east bay starting to see a little sunshine. and as we go to san jose, they've been sunny all day today. so been looking good there. but if you're anywhere near the coast, it has been colao d 70 mile per hour wind right now in san francisco are getting that onshore flow. here we go again. just like yesterday. it's gonna get a little breezy temperatures. cool out where we are by the coast in san francisco and half moon bay. we made it to the 70's. if you head inland effect, pittsburgh now up to 79. same story in fairfield. so that's my warm as temperatures are, but 60's around the bay and a few 50's as well. right now. so there is that marine layer. it has not moved. it really has it. it's just giving us little glimpses of sunshine right now in san francisco. but it's been very present today, n

and on friday, kron 4 meteorologist kyla grogan will be one of the hosts at the games and hopefully the weather cooperates. >> for the big event i'm forecasting perfect weather for college. she forecast that her agreement in worksop. nice. we're in such a beautiful weather pattern. it is seasonable. it's exactly what to expect for this time of year. and that's what we get. we get lots of clouds and fog at the coast moving inland and then temperatures are little bit cooler than normal. but the pattern is about what to expect for late june. so temperatures this afternoon peaked a little below normal. in fact, a lot below normal in half moon bay should be 72. we got 58 up in san francisco. we got 60. typically we'd be at 67 but inland. we're pretty close to normal. so it's absolutely a beautiful pattern. and here it is. got the low clouds, the status of the coastline. it moves in overnight and st pulls back toward the coastline day in and day out with varying degrees of blanketing. so the blanket this morning was really wide across the bay area. not quite as dramatic tomorrow morning, but

let's talk weather as we get a live look at sfo on this thursday afternoon from 4 meteorologist kyla grogan. joining us here live in studio. hi, kyla pay various obviously cloudy out of that. the delta flights are running just fine. no issues there. but we've got sunshine and san francisco and you can see it here. we also have >> some wind and you can absolutely see that they're at the trees that are blowing around. once again, we're at 17 miles per hour here in san francisco that sustained wind. same story in oakland. it was up to 22 a little earlier. so obviously things are still quite windy out there, although not quite as bad they work as temperatures wise. we stay pretty cool out of the coast in san francisco. you can see where 57 saves street half moon bay. but if you head inland, we actually warmed up pretty nicely today to average temperatures and fairfield in pittsburgh used concord at 80 degrees. we got up to the upper 70's in spots like nevada. little cooler down in the south bay. but 69 in san jose. so it's been all about the marine layer this weekend. certainly it's been hangin

poll so they're keeping an eye on what's happening and so is our meteorologist kyla grogan. she's tracking the current conditions. yeah, let me show you where this is. obviously you can see we've got some wind in san francisco here worried about 20 miles per hour. but where this is, if we head over towards the east bay and we go inland from fremont, this isn't a relatively remote anea here. >> but notice wind and sun all showing out of the west about 14 miles per hour. you can see we're in the teens here as well in fremont. so i kind of zoom in here. i think one of the difficult things about this particular fire, you know, brush for that happening is reaching it. and so, you know, i was taking a look and it looks like they're trying to attack this by air because they really don't have a whole lot of options. as you can see to get to it. and that's part parcel of what happens with some of the terrain that we have when we get up into those more mountainous areas. now, as we look across the bay area, you can see we're certainly breezy. we're getting that westerly flow that is c

kyla grogan weather center now. yeah, it doesn't get much better than this, right? is gorgeous. and obviously we escaped the june gloom this morning. got right to the sunshine. we do still have some of those windy conditions. you can see the trees kind of blown around here at san francisco. not just here, by the way, but the sunshine also showed up at the coast in full force. this is a live picture of of half moon bay and a couple people that are lucky enough to have the time to go for a walk there today because what a great day to do it. i did mention it was still breezy and certainly happen bay, about 30 miles per hour, san francisco. now, 25 those are sustained. winds of the gusts are showing to be higher than that. starting to spread across the rest of the bay temperature wise. this is the difference in temps from 24 hours ago to now. and you can see that we are, you know, in concord, 9 degrees, warmer. then we were this time yesterday. so obviously the warm-up is on and you see that with some of these temperatures sunday 60's around the bay. but check out redwo

let's talk about the weather again as we look live at the san mateo bridge and kyla grogan here to fill us there. so we made it up to about 70. >> san jose so far today it is sunny out there. >> that would put us 2 degrees above normal and nowhere near thankfully, the wild record from 1960, of 106 degrees. no, thank you. we we did that last weekend. we did it close enough last weekend. temperatures out there right now. pretty francisco to 64 degrees. you can see if you head inland, you'll find some of those 70's and even 81 in fairfield right now. but other than that, it's just been a really seasonal day. quite lovely. we are getting that wind that's rolling in in the afternoon now to 22 miles per hour. there in oakland and 21 livermore. so obviously it is breezy this afternoon. one point out also to the north of us, we have a red flag warning. this is for areas like redding like chico, where chicken, by the way, has been up into the mid 90's today. that goes until 8 o'clock tonight. thankfully, we don't have that going on, but it is a reminder that we are in that time of the year when

meteorologist kyla grogan is tracking the weather there and unfortunately that when not just today, but into tomorrow by sunday, we should catch a little bit of a break. but take a look at where we are right now. >> and you can see the sustained winds right now. and again, these gusts are much higher but sustained winds. 31 miles per hour right now in san francisco and in oakland. but not just there. you can see how the wind is pretty pervasive all across the bay area. so we're going to have a little bit of a rough ride with our evening. and unfortunately, those gusts which have been once again today up to about 40 miles per hour, kind of place, a lot of spots into very, very near critical fire weather conditions. and that is particularly true for those who are up in elevation, where we have a lot of dry grasses. and so that does include my east bay hills and my santa clara hills. so today, you want to make sure you don't do anything that could cause a spark because, of course, a fire can travel quickly when we have this kind of wind. it's a big concern. also, we're starting to see some

weather outside across the bay bridge and tracking the temperatures right now with our meteorologist kyla groganh. and the sunshine that we've got out there and they're certainly some sunshine here in san jose. you can see it a beautiful day. there in san jose right now. temperatures 69 degrees wind out of the northwest at 10 miles per hour. probably gusting a little higher than that. so certainly feel that you're out about. but just beautiful sunshine. and today, quite a bit of it across the bay area. if you are at the coast, you're likely still hanging out to a few clouds. but everybody else starting to warm up and you can see word pittsburgh at 77 degrees. 74 up in santa rosa. and, you know, kind of nice in other spots to 70 degrees right now in redwood city. so pretty good looking forecast there, even though we are a little cooler than we should be. we'll take the sunshine. the wind will be with us in san francisco. as you can see, we are up there now where we've seen some of these gusts, upwards of 2025 miles per hour. so we'll start to see this wind ramp down a little bit later today. but

our meteorologist kyla grogan is tracking the weather for us right now. >> yeah, hi there.iful day today. blue skies as you can see here with the quite tower. just kind of gleaning behind me. lovely day to day and temperatures warmer than they were this time yesterday. that's for sure. especially if we look across the whole bay area. check out concord, which got into the low 80's yesterday, 11 degrees warmer today. so these temperatures have been soaring. we're getting up there and you can see in concord right now, 87 degrees. 63 in san francisco, up to 87 in santa rosa now. and we're at 88 and fairfield, little cooler down in the south bay. but still, you know, 77 in san jose. so obviously we are going into some nice territory with temperatures that marine layer hanging out here offshore. giving us a break today. getting rid of that june gloom this morning and bring in the sunshine a little bit earlier. and as you can see, it is really just wall to wall blue skies across the entire bay area right now. now we are breezy 24 mile per hour wind and that's the sustained winds t

meteorologist kyla grogan tracking the forecast for us now. yeah. so we have had that fog out at the coast. but take a look here at downtown san francisco. looking pretty good. here are some blue skies, although notice the is whipping yet again. we seem to be doing that every day this week, right? and today is no exception afternoon few high clouds out there this weekend. more of the same are going to start off a little cloudy. get some afternoon sunshine there. >> temperatures staying pretty consistent until we get to next week and then we'll start to see things pick up basically tuesday, wednesday, thursday. so we'll talk about that. but let's look at where temperatures are now. 58 in san francisco in sausalito. 75 up in nevada. we are at 78 now in concord and fairfield to getting some of that warmth going in the inner east bay, which was my warmest spot yesterday, 70 in san jose and of course, half moon bay where the clouds have been hanging out a little there. 57 degrees. the wind is whipping again to rid 16 mile per hour sustained winds, which

let's check in now with kron 4 meteorologist kyla grogan. hi there. yeah. so today we are gonna have another day. very similar to yesterday. we are under that. >> unfortunately, quality advisory once again and you can see you've got a bit more cloud cover here as we take a live look here at the golden gate bridge looking towards the north bay temperature wise. we're going to be about where we were yesterday, which is to say 60's and 70's around the bay and then likely to see some of those 80's as we head inland low, possibly mid 80's. we got up to 85 degrees yesterday in livermore in concord right now. of course, they're sitting in the low 70's little wind right now is going to be more of a southerly flow. south southwesterly today. and that will pick up once again as we get into the afternoon. but the air quality advisory, meaning that we are expecting some moderate air quality today that, again, is from those wildfires in canada just sending a little bit of some of the particulates our way right now, though, we're doing really good. we are holding steady

let's check in now with meteorologist kind kyla grogan. yeah. hey there, stephanie. and obviously today the big story is really the cool down and the wind and you can see that wind right now as you see these flags just flying here in the bar, cairo. >> right here off of kron 4, it is very gusty. and today we're going to see these gusts pick up even more as we head into the afternoon and evening and they will be a little bit more intense than we've seen in the last few days. notice some of these spots potentially getting up to 40 miles per hour. and again, that goes through today also into tomorrow. now, part of the problem here and the reason we have fire concerns is that we're starting to see the humidity levels drop. and i point to livermore right now, which is down to 39%. so that's something to keep an eye on as we go throughout the afternoon, it means that the air is drying out and that's not surprising rights. we have a lot of dry brush that is out there and the areas of concern today, our east bay and santa clara hill, some east bay hills by santa clara hills.

meteorologist kyla grogan has the details yet. and we feel like summer today, no doubt about it, frankly, will feel more like summer today. then we will in the actual start of summer, which is on friday. check it hour 101 in reading right now. 98 in sacramento. >> you see 90's all down the state here. so 92 big bear. and 74 in los angeles, obviously much more temperate out at the coast. but certainly inland temperatures are soaring right now. in fact, are 96 in fairfield, 94 in concord. 92 in santa rosa. you get the idea south bay is fairing a bit better today. some nice low 80's down there. kind pleasant, right? but 71 in oakland, not bad there either. but if you are in concord, one of my spots is getting really hot today. so just get ready keep the fans going because we are kind of flirting with some of those mid 90's today. now, tomorrow will be a much better situation. but today running almost, you know, 10 degrees potentially above average. we'll see where we topped out here as we get into the heat of the day. thankfully nowh

meteorologist kyla grogan. yeah, hi there. and really this point we're really more the it hayes, right that you would see. >> and we do say that sometimes anyway, from mount tam and some of that has to do with the marine layer and sometimes it can be smoke. but today i will say we kind of started off with a whole lot of yellow dots and we've pretty much stay there. a couple places have popped into a better space. san francisco is one of them, but that does main. it's moderate air quality and it could possibly get a little bit worse. and here's why we take a look at where this wildfire smoke has gotten. these wildfires are from canada. well, to the north of us and to the east of us what you can see, even so a little bit of that kind of makes its way towards california. so as we take a look at what's going to happen over the 48 hours, you can see this is where those fires are all the way up in canada. there is a weather system that's actually gonna start pushing things kind of to the south and towards the east over the next 48 h
