santa rosa an inch and three quarters and petaluma 1.65 all on june 2nd, 1967. that's a lot of rain any time, especially for early june. these are how much temperatures we dropped from saturday into sunday. concord 26, santa rosa 20 degrees, san jose 16. the city dropped 15. we're looking at pretty much a typical early june map here 50, 60, 70. and of course you get far enough inland. you can find some low 80s, but we are running a little bit warmer for most here, a couple or a little santa rosa, petaluma, a little cooler, livermore, little cooler, san jose. but others are running a little bit warmer. napa airport leading the way at plus five, a whopper of a system tapped into some moisture down into arizona and left phoenix with a third of an inch of rain. the greatest ever. there's already the ninth wettest june on record for them, and it's only the second thunderstorm activity up in central sierra. we, though, got this little low that came right down on the coast. and what did that do that increased the fog and the low clouds? i think it's there. i believe it

although i've taken the train down to petaluma and shop down there.the hope is that everybody down south will come up north and enjoy the train and come check out windsor. smart used to end at a nondescript train yard, but now ending at windsor gives the rail line an actual destination. the town green is a popular picnic area and the shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms are giving people a reason to get on the train. becoming much more of a place where people are coming, especially from out of town. it will bring people down here and help boost the local economy. yeah, which is pretty vibrant. but i mean, everything helps, right? we're all based on tourism here, so that's all very helpful. and devin hoopes is exactly the kind of rider they're hoping for. the santa rosa resident has been using the train as a fun way to explore the small cities surrounding his hometown. i haven't made it down to novato yet. like to really explore that from the train, but that's on the list. i'm like getting there. the towns have always been here, easily accessible

petaluma, novato four degrees cooler than yesterday at this time. concord's minus three. minus two. santa rosa is in there. now it's warm. you get on the east east side of the sierra and lee side, man. it's hot up there. reno, carson city, minden, even truckee and tahoe there in on the high pressure, but not here. and you can see the activity has been bubbling up the last couple of days. it does look a little quieter today up in the mountains so far. i mean, there were big thunderstorms yesterday. also up in the northern sacramento valley, northeast california. i think we get a little more of a westerly breeze. that kind of pushes a lot of that moisture out of the picture. so they're late to form today, if at all. we do have not much changing here tuesday into wednesday. anytime you get a quick warm up, everything is pointing towards these systems coming back in and cooling us right back down. we finally had our first hurricane in the northern hemisphere. that was a category one, barbara, but it's running into cooler water falling apart. same with this system to the west
