let's go to the richmond bridge here and show you that the traffic on the richmond bridge looks okay. no major problems coming through into marin. there's a small backup there at the bay bridge toll plaza. you will see that traffic has actually become just a little bit better in the last few minutes, so that's very good. there have been no major issues here. traffic continues to look a little bit slow on the bridge. and now this is a look at interstate 880. that traffic is moving along nicely okay. so here's the latest on bart. there's currently no red line service between richmond and millbrae. passengers traveling from richmond should board a berryessa train transfer at macarthur to an sfl millbrae train. traveling from millbrae, you should board an sfo antioch train and transfer in oakland. so this is because of a medical emergency near the north berkeley station. we are working to find out what's exactly happening and when trains are likely to be back in service on that line. 711 let's go back to the desk. >> i'm senator alex padilla. i have questions for the secretary. this is a live look at the westbound approach to the richmond san rafael bridge.s are actually moving. that wasn't the case earlier because of falling concrete drivers stuck in and around the bridge. so what happened? nbc gia vang is looking into it. these photos show the crumbling concrete on the upper deck of the richmond-san rafael bridge. caltrans says it was discovered during the morning commute and the emergency repairs closing. almost all lanes on both decks went well into the evening drive to. it's so gnarly. it's hanging ten. it's that bad. you can s se from our nbc sky ranger traffic snarled and meandering for miles. i'm just coming back from work, and i've been sitting in traffic for about 45 minutes. ce i got into the cutoff to go to the richmond bridge, there was no way. signs warned of the delays because caltrans crews had to cut a rectangle around the damaged area and replace it with rebar and concrete. this comes after the national transportation safety board called for the study of 68 bridges earlier this year, including the richmond san rafael br

a truck crashed into a power pole in richmond. our photographers on the scene say they actually saw the truck speeding down the road, hitting at least 2 other cars before then smashing into this traffic light. police, firefighters, paramedics, they all responded. we did reach out to richmond police to try to get some more information about this crash. and if there are any injuries, we'll let you know when we hear back. it is officially fire season in santa rosa over the next 2 weeks. fire officials are going to start conducting weed abatement inspections. the ordinance requires homeowners to cut their grass down to 4 inches or shorter, remove any dead plants or weeds. the goal office east trying to prevent some of those destructive wildfires like the ones we saw back in 2017 that absolutely decimated the wine country. it was a series of fires that in the end killed 44 people and burned nearly 9,000 homes. damage from those fires were estimated at about 15 billion dollars. it was hard we're lucky to be alive. >> they've been throug

how cracked concrete clogged up richmond? sandra fell bridge all day long with some lanes still partially closed. tonight live from richmond. and fire season is here. crews the north bay knocked down a fast-moving blaze, forced evacuations and threatened homes. a nerve wracking evening for some neighbors in the north bay. thanks for joining us on kron for news at 10. i'm noelle bellow, a wind-driven grass fire prompted evacuation orders in fairfield this evening. fire crews have since contained it to 62 acres. no one was hurt. >> kron four's. lindsey ford has the very latest on the vista grande fire. >> firefighters raking through synched ground in fairfield on the lookout for any remaining hot spots. this after they spent about 2 and a half hours knocking down the vista grande fire that quickly grew to 62 acres, threatening neighbors around 3.30, monday afternoon. fire crews say they received a call about a grass fire. the area of this to grande in capitola way near the waterman water treatment plant. fairfield, deputy fire
