roberta. >> hi, amber, and good evening, everybody. let's start off with the winds because boy, are they aggressive tonight. take a look at half moon bay. 26 mile per hour wind gusts about 41 at sfo across the bay, just shy of 30. we do have at this time 38 mile per hour wind gusts in palo alto, 25 in san jose, 24 in livermore. it's windy everywhere and gusty winds are being noted across the bay area. and check it out tonight. throughout the evening hours, we will continue to have those winds 30 mile per hour sustained winds with us all the way until 11:00 tonight and then your saturday. same drill, not as powerful or as gusty, but nonetheless very breezy to windy conditions. now we're also going to be monitoring the relative humidity throughout the day tomorrow because when those winds increase, they wick out that moisture in the air mass. so that's why we've seen some very low numbers today. right now, 28 in napa appears to be the driest location across the board. but when you couple up the gusty winds with the relative humidity low,

we just checked in with roberta.o telling us the winds, thankfully, are somewhat moderate, relatively light. you know, you see the smoke here. it doesn't look like it's being sort of pushed off in any significant way as we watch an air drop there from one of those planes coming in and dropping fire retardant in this area. so we do have a full air attack coming in now from cal fire to try to get some containment on this fire and slow its spread. you can see some really active flame right here in this particular area. >> yeah. and it's being called the bonanza fire because it is along bonanza road near old frenchtown road. again, if you are familiar with this part of el dorado county, but as we have been seeing, you have helicopters now coming in to try to get a handle on this thing. they don't want it to grow any further. i think what was most concerning is just the rapid rate of spread. this started out as five acres and then quickly grew to about 25 right now. and that was just the last check. >> yeah. and obviously

we'll see you in a minute, roberta. thank you. america's tallest ship is docked right now at san francisco's pier 17. the u.s. coast guard cutter eagle sailed under the golden gate this morning. this is the first time in 16 years it's been to san francisco. the 295 foot tall eagle is the largest tall ship in service. it has 150 coast guard cadets on board. they'll be training on the ship through the summer. the eagle is considered the coast guard academy's premier training vessel. its commanding officer is the first woman to captain the eagle. she first sailed it in 1996 as a cadet. >> coast guard academy cadets and officers. candidates sail on board her and learn the fundamentals of what it's like to go to sea. they learn what it's like to be cold, wet, and tired. they learn the basics of seamanship and navigation. they learn to overcome their fears and climb 147ft in the air. and that's all to help prepare them to be future coast guard officers and really and be leaders in the maritime domain for this country. >> the eagle was c
