santa clara university right here at stevens stadium and also at santa clara high school are some of the track and field event will be. but let's talk weather, shall we? because get great weather for today and also this weekend. let's start with a look in the south bay. i'm in santa clara. so let's talk san jose weather, shall we? let's look at the temperatures there. and right now they are sitting at a lovely 84 degrees. notice the wind has picked up there, but 10 miles per hour out of the northwest. as we take a look here at storm tracker, you can see the whole state really basking in the sunshine with the exception of a little bit of the coastal clouds that are still hanging on. and certainly you see that a bit along the peninsula. but the north bay has gotten some pretty decent clearing today. temperatures showing that we have warmed up inland. in fact, take a look at fairfield right now. 95 degrees. we are at 89 up in santa rosa, but 90 in nevada, 92 in livermore and nice 80's. as i mentioned, the south bay, san francisco. 65 and oakland coming in and about 70 degrees. so the wi

upper 70s to low 80s down into the santa clara valley.ack in the upper 50s, because the reason that we're seeing a heat up inland is due to offshore winds, allowing for drier and warmer weather to begin to make its way across the central valley of california, and including those inland places in the bay. so let's take a look at that, because it all has to do with wind direction, not necessarily wind speed. so yesterday wind speeds are definitely calmer, but today they're still coming in for more of that onshore direction and keeping those temperatures more seasonable. but tomorrow, even though some places will see some gustier conditions, the direction of the wind coming in from that offshore direction increases our temperatures, because there's going to be something called a backdoor slider storm system. basically, what it means is just moving across the central valley of california doesn't really impact us when it comes to moisture, but it changes the wind direction. and again, coming in from that offshore direction. not really great ne
