to be nice and much cooler than normal temperatures for most of us, but it will heat up in the south county where we don't quite get that ocean breeze because it's blocked by some of the hills there in the south bay. but looking at all of our other temperatures, you can definitely experience the kind of weather you like with a short drive or ride. now we'll talk more about what to expect coming up in just a few minutes. back to you. all right. thanks, kari. we begin with some breaking news for you over in europe after a deadly school shooting. now, this is video from that scene in graz, austria. this is the country's second largest city. so the incident happened at a high school there. and authorities say at least nine people are dead. that shooter also among the dead. now, according to the city's mayor, this is at least one, at least one adult. there is among those victims. several more students and teachers are injured. there is no word on their condition now. police plan to announce more details for us later today. back up, back up, back up. back up, back up, back up. breaking news in sa

so we're headed for the mid 80s for the south county and mid to upper 80s for the interior east bay, as well as the north bay. some of our warmest temperatures in the upper 80s today. but then when we take it to tomorrow, we're going to see it peaking up to the mid 90s for spots like clear lake, 94 degrees, low 90s for the south county, and then parts of the east bay in the mid to upper 80s. while near the coast it will be in the 60s. and then we'll bring those temperatures right back down on thursday, a significant drop in those highs into the 60s and 70s. so the high pressure across the region that's going to warm things up here just briefly. and then we see an area of low pressure with some rain just to our north. as well as that cooling onshore wind flow that brings in our natural air conditioning will be with us into the weekend as well as early next week. so take look at brentwood. we will see that big spike and possibly hitting 100 degrees there tomorrow, but then we're back down almost 20 degrees. a significant drop on thursday, friday, saturday looking good and then a slight

and then look at the south county today. that's where you're going to start to feel.t's a little warmer today compared to yesterday. and you're kind of thinking, do i turn on the ac? well, you may have to definitely do that tomorrow as we make it into the low 90s in san martin, as well as gilroy and morgan hill, and then up to 91 tomorrow in concord, we're in the upper 80s and low 90s for the valleys in the north bay, san francisco, just a touch warmer. we'll get more sun and highs in the low 70s, and then we're right back down on thursday, a significant drop in those temperatures for some spots at least ten degrees. and that's the weather we'll see throughout the weekend. so this bump up of those temperatures will be very brief as high pressure moves in. and then we make way for this low for the weekend. that's going to make it breezy, cooler and even bring in a chance of showers just to our north. let's check out brentwood, one of our usual hot spots. and yes, tomorrow 100 degrees there. but then look at the drop on thursday. it's only in the low 80s. and then we'll

but we do have to take it easy as our high temperatures head for the low 90s in the south county as wells the far north bay. and then we'll see napa's temperatures in the upper 80s and then upper 70s for hayward and oakland, while san francisco still nice and comfortable. we'll drop those temperatures on thursday, and we're going to see temperatures cool even more for friday. so what was that little spike in temperatures? well, the high pressure that's causing the high heat across the southwest is going to be moving on. it will make way for this area of low pressure coming in for the weekend. ocean air across the bay area. so take a look at brentwood. we're going from low 90s to 100 degrees tomorrow and then back down to the low 80s on thursday. and it's going to be a nice weekend. so once again the spike in temperatures doesn't last long, but we will have warmer air coming in early next week. and we will still see these changes throughout the rest of the bay area for our inland highs. we're in the mid 80s today, 90 tomorrow, and it will be windy and cooler on juneteenth. and the coolest

it will be in the upper 70s, also in livermore, but upper 80s for the south counties. so what's happening here? we are seeing a lot of coastal fog and a breeze coming off of that cool ocean air, and that's making it across most of the bay area. but in the south county, where you're blocked by the santa cruz mountains, you're not getting that cool breeze. so those temperatures are going to heat up into the mid to upper 80s today, and we'll do it all over again tomorrow. and also in the far north bay, ukiah, clear lake, in between all those mountains, you're not getting that cool breeze. so it will be in the 90s and upper 80s for tomorrow, low 80s for santa rosa. and in san francisco it will be 64 tomorrow aftfternoon. we continue with the same weather as we head through thursday with some nice and seasonable weather, but definitely a wide range across our microclimates. and then looking at santa rosa going out into the weekend early next week. still very mild, with a modest warm up expected for the middle of next week. so until then, we're looking at steady temperatures

we'll see a high of 75 and 77 in san jose for the south county. it is a little bit cooler today compared to yesterday, and we'll see highs in the lower 80s. for the east bay. oakland will see a high of 71, walnut creek 78 and 81. in concord and for redwood city low 70s there. but we're staying in the low 60s for half moon bay and san francisco. very gusty winds, low clouds in the upper 50s. but we should see a little bit more sun in the mission district, and a high of 65 for the north bay. we're headed for the upper 70s and low 80s. let's talk about some things going on this weekend. we have the livermore rodeo kicking off the alameda county fair. we will see throughout the weekend some very nice and seasonable temperatures. we're going to keep it comfortable with highs in the upper 70s. and then for san jose, we have juneteenth and a lot of celebrations going on around the city. it will be in the mid 70s all three days throughout the weekend with lows in the low 50s. we talked about all the variety of sports we have. the valkyrie's game on saturd

against the deportations that are happening and against all of the policies that he's implemented in south county. in gilroy, protest organizers said they were surprised to see about 800 people show up to protest a community where farmworkers say they feel threatened. here, the most ambitious no king's day protest took place on the peninsula, where organizers planned and carried out a seven mile human chain of more than 7000 participants that stretched from the tesla showroom in sunnyvale to the tesla store in palo alto. and as in san jose, the push was for nonviolence. honestly, peaceful and loving and tolerant. and again, it's so important that that reality is understood by everyone. this is not how the other side wants to paint it as this destructive protest. i feel good when i see this many people turn out because to me, this looks like a community that cannot be oppressed and overrun like that. we are ecstatic. people really resonated with this idea. we are absolutely thrilled that so many people came out in support of democracy, in support of america, in support of our flag, in support of o

but there are some spots that don't get as much of that, like the south county.ruz mountains there, and so we're still going to have some slightly warmer temperatures there. but even that's not too bad. we're in the low 80s today, mid 70s for san jose and low 70s for fremont and upper 70s for the north bay. tomorrow it does get a little warmer in some spots, like santa rosa headed for 86 degrees. and we're also going to see those temperatures going up several degrees for even parts of the inner bay, as that ocean breeze kind of weakens a little bit. but then we are looking at just depending on how strong those winds are, and we're going to see our temperatures just going up and down a few degrees here and there as we take a look at san jose stretching that forecast out ten days, we're heading into a busy weekend with the juneteenth celebrations going on, lots of live music and outdoor events. it's going to be in the mid 70s, so really comfortable. next week it will warm up just a bit. it's not a significant warm up, but we will be headed toward the mid 80s. a loo

and we're talking about the youth entrepreneurship program, a great program happening in south santa clara countyey trevino, part of sabor del valle, and you're the grant writer, right, shirley, for this program? well, tell us about yep. shirley trevino: okay, yep, was started by the--under the auspice of sabor del valle, which is a nonprofit that serves northern california and especially south santa clara county, and it was started with the idea that latino youths were left out of the equation on classes that dealt with how you can start your own business. so we started yep, which is youth entrepreneurship program, with a grant from the office of sylvia--supervisor sylvia arenas, and since we got the grant, we've been able to have classes in gilroy and morgan hill, which is the area that she covers, and so we're very, very excited that we started the program. we had good participants in the classes that we've given. we've also had speakers that are actually latino millionaires that have come to talk about how they started, and to inspire the youth as to the possibilities of starting and creating
