winds are gusty 26mph in santa rosa and in novato, 40 at the airport in oakland. we do have gusty winds also at sfo. these winds are up to 29. 21 at mineta. mountain view 21. so you get the feel of it. it's breezy, it's windy, and it will continue throughout tonight. here you go. at 11:00 this evening. still picking up those winds sustained to 29 in the san rafael area backing through marin city. and we're picking up the winds also up to 23, in santa rosa, cotati and penngrove 26 along the sea shore. then by lunchtime tomorrow again, the winds are really ramping up all the way through the evening hours. so the national weather service has now said a red flag warning is in effect for the central valley, but this also encompasses solano county here in the bay area. we'll continue to monitor the red flag warning. also, christina, after this round of winds, the next round is still tapped up and ready to go. we'll talk about that next time around. >> and as we do move deeper into this fire season, you can always get the latest updates anytime through our fox local app

iglesias is part of savor oakland, the oakland restaurant collective that recently launched to protect and promote oakland's hospitality scene. this month is their debut event called summer affair, where around 40 restaurants are showcasing creative food and drink specials. michelle is offering an empanada lunch special. this is separate from the idea of restaurant week and like a tasting menu. this is offering different, different specials or different design bites or treats to have people walk in and they say it's working. i use acre as an example. they decided on tuesdays to do oysters and the impact that they've had in the community, with people coming in to see them, has been very profound. luigi rocco is the co-owner of cafe by mr. espresso. he's been partnering with local chefs to create specialty drinks for the rest of the month. he's offering $2 shots of espresso to get more people through the door. we feel like if we can get the areas activated and people getting out and about again like they once were, i think we'll have, you know, overall, hopefully our culture and society

in fact, oakland just ticked up to 29 miles per hour here. so we are getting very gusty this afternoon. it is our first full official first day of summer. that does kind of happened at 07:42pm. tonight we have the summer solstice temperatures obviously running a little an summary today and want to talk about the solstice is because we cannot have a difference in sun angles. what happens here? you can see during the spring equinox. we have other per se spring. that was march 20th. the sun is directly over the equator and then all areas of the planet received 12 hours of daylight. whether your northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere, it's kind of all the same right, 12 12. well, this is the difference here is that we get into our summer solstice and now we have the center of the sun directly above the tropic of cancer, meaning that line that you see kind of a little bit above the equator. so higher in the northern hemisphere. so that means we get longer days ig the northern hemisphere, shorter days in the southern hemisphere. so if you look
