bethany marshall, there's a lot of finger pointing after, everybody laying blame. what do you think? >> i think this is a sad and familiar story of the drug addict doctor shopping, getting prescriptions at one place and then another, but i think what's really important to note is that long-term substance abusers will often binge just as they're about to enter a time which will demand sobriety for them. so for instance, the night before going into rehab, they'll binge or just before taking on a new job, they'll binge or before walking down the aisle of someone who disappears with their alcohol or prescription drug abuse they'll go out and party it up. so i think what aeg failed to take into account is that no amount of monitoring was going to undo this substance abuse or tendency to freak out at the possibility he wouldn't be able to use for some period of time and the complete reaction to that. and i think that that's really how to best account possibly for what happened to him. >> and to mary margaret, senior news editor, radaronline, who are the trustees? his est

same is true for bethany beach. cooler over the course of the weekend. and then as you head farther to the north, cape may, rehoboth, temperatures similar to everywhere else. cooler on sunday in cape may and again a chance of showers and thunderstorms. but you have that all long -- not all year long but ngdi the summer. as the heat builds up you can could see some afternoon thunderstorms and then they scoot out. temperatures around the region. we are warming up quite nicely. 79 here in washington. 79 in baltimore. fredericksberg is 77. dulles airport is 78. and speak of the beach, ocean city is 83 right now. satellite radar for our region, there is washington and there is your cloud cover. more clouds building in. this area of precipitation getting closer. this is being over played by the radar. if you look at that, it looks like oh, boy in 20 minutes we're going to get rain. we will not. we'll get some rain showers during the court-- the course of the day. we have a frontal system staying wedged in the area. and that will be the trigger for some showers

earlier today shower activity in ocean city and bethany and row and rehoboth. 72 right now at reagan national. 70 in fredericksberg. this is only half of the story because the dew points have been pushing up into the middle 60s so it feels humid. notice that motion in the atmosphere is from south so north. so unlike the last couple of weeks when we had the northwest flow, this week we'll be dealing with winds out of the south and the southwest and so our temperatures, although under the cloud cover, will be in the low 80s our dew point and humidity levels will increase and with itwe the possibility of more scat you ared showers and thunderstorms. at this time we're fine, but later today the radar will start to fill in in the late afternoon. you will see peeks of sunshine during the day. scattered showers and thunderstorms return by late afternoon. high temperature 82 degrees. winds out of the east at about 5 miles per hour. let's get to on-time traffic with lauren demarco in for julie wright today. >>> starting on 410 leaving riverdale to the east you'll be on the brakes. slowing tow

bethany, more of the same. today the nicer day. rehoboth, good amount of sunshine and today the best day. sunday won't be bad. saturday could see showers and thunderstorms. and at cape may, the same thing. highs near 80 and chance of thunderstorms on saturday. here is what is happening in our area. 65 is the current mperature. 66 at dulles airport. 63 in frederick, maryland. 63 in baltimore. fredericksberg is at 66 degrees at this hour. satellite radar composite for the region, we had some early morning clouds. for the most part those have burned off. we have a good amount of sunshine and as the day progresses we'll see sunshine during the course of the day. there are clouds down to the south and rain in south central portions of virginia. but that will remain to the south and will not impact us. here is a look at the surface map. today, another nice one. we're going to squeeze one more good day out of this before this frontal system in this area of low pressure makes its way in here, really scooting that high pressure out of here.
