. >> a new zero tolerance policy is unveiled for mta transit operators who use cell phones. >> it follow this is week fatal accident involving a light rail train. john live in north baltimore with the latest on the story tonight. john? >>reporter: it is still not known whether operator of that train was actually using the cell phone at the time but the mta has adopted a new zero tolerance policy for anyone that is caught using the cell phone. now videotape from a security camera on the light rail train shows that 2 teenagers were struck from hyped by a northbound train. but the operator did not know his train had struck the teen teens. it wasn't until 15 minutes later that someone on another train discovered the 2 injured teens lying on the tracks. up until now mta policy gave supervisors discretion on how drivers could be disciplined if they are found using the cell phone while operating a train or bus. today governor o'malley announce the a change in policy. >> we have had a policy that allows to us fire operators for doing that but we thought especially in light of the recent tragedy
