today the charlottesville newspaper report police have obtained a red stained jersey from his apartment and a letter to love. experts say there may have been warnings. >> tonight melinda roeder looks at the suspect's violent behavior. >> there were obvious physical injuries to her body. >> it was a violent murder according to police. yeardley love was found face down in a pool of blood. it happened at her off campus apartment where police records show the suspect, george huguely admited to kicking in the bedroom door. he hit her repeatedly knocking her head against the wall. her attorney called it an accident. >> we're confident that miss love's death was not intended but an accident with a tragic outcome. >> but psychiatrists explain that type of behavior as uncommon rage. >> punching through walls. most people do not do. most people do not throw objects and break. most do not assault wives or partners. >> the doctor did not directly involve himself in the case but assesses patients with anger issues. >> in what other settings are there problems? do you have a bad temper when you play

the community and the city of charlottesville are shocked by the loss. love was 22 years old, you can see last night on the lawn they put out candles to memorialize her. she was an accomplished lacrosse player well loved by teammates and sorority sisters are. friends say there was a history of abuse with george huguely who grew up in chevy chase. huguely was also set to graduate. he has withdrawn and sits in jail held without bond. court documents show these details, that huguely admitted to kicking in love's door, to hitting her head against a wall blood, her face bruised, her right eye swollen shut. those who have known huguely find the situation nearly impossible to believe. his attorney calls it a tragic accident. >> i've known george eight years and it just doesn't seem like anything that he's capable of. this whole thing seems so unreal almost. i didn't believe it at first but now you know, all the details came out, just -- i'm sort of in shock. spoke with some lacrosse players who said they couldn't get to sleep. >> we're confident miss love's dea

according to the daily progress here in charlottesville, they are reporting that her accused killer, george huguely, that they recovered a red-stained uva lacrosse shirt from him when he was arrested on monday. they are also reporting that they found a note from him to yardley love. the details of which i'm not -- i don't know at this point. but as we get that information, we will bring it to you as this story develops. now to tonight's vigil. this is it a camp actually for the students here at the university of virginia to remember love not for how she died, but really how she lived her life. the amphitheater where they are holding that vigil holds about 1500 students. but we are told they are expect at least 3,000 or more. just an example of how hard this campus is take her murder. yardley love was a senior lacrosse player about to graduate when she was found murdered early monday in her apartment near campus. tonight the university is hold a candle light vigil to honor her memory. friends and teammates described her as an angel, and many are still struggling how to understand how
