the chauncey bailey trial could be move to another condition. christie smith is live now in oakland with more on the arguments for and against. >> good morning to you. journalist chauncey bailey was killed just a few blocks from the courthouse where we're standing. he was gunned down in broad daylight on his way to work. we were among the first news crews on the scene and there was plenty of news coverage afterwards because of the brutality of the killing. he was a working journalist at the time. today, defense attorneys for two defendants are expected to argue that there was, quote, massive and pervasive news coverage that's has jeopardized their clients' right to a fair trial. bay is accused of ordering a killing because he was working on a story about the financial struggles for the bakery. defense attorneys say a survey of potential jurors in alameda county, that of those mott involved in the debate, ironically, the judge who is providing over there is the same one who order today trial of b.a.r.t. r a b.a.r.t. police officer. >> thanks for
