>> reporter: it looks bad out here, dave. in fact just we are on the westbound 580 west of portola avenue and right now the highway is completely closed and that is because some of the cleanup has started to take place, about five minutes ago cal trans cleanup crews, a truck pulled up with their sweeper and some of their cleanup equipment. that vehicle that you see moving is the giant tow truck that had the crane on top. that truck was able to put the 18-wheeler that had flipped over right side up so this 18 wheeler is no longer upside down. it is right side up. you can see there is people on top loading some of the debris that that cargo truck was carrying back on to the bed of the truck. but while all of this cleanup takes place this highway is completely shut down, westbound 580 previously just the far left lanes had been shut down but now as we said as the cleanup starts to take place all the lanes are shut down. so traffic here is at a complete stand still. we are just west of important storm a avenue on 580. this accide
