they were rushed to highland hospital. there's no official word on their condition but one young victim is expected to be fighting for his life. police are asking witnesses to step forward as they search for the gunmen. >>> we are learning more about the man killed during a violent robbery in bay point. ali rasmus joins us with new information. >> reporter: good morning. this all started around 3:yesterday afternoon. that's when contra cost fa sheriff deputies received a call from bay point. that person was calling to report a burglary. now, a short time later, a california highway patrol deputy spotted the suspect of that burglary -- spotted the vehicle of that burglary suspect. he was driving a yellow ford suv. the suspect was identified as 30-year-old prubencio rubio. according to police, rubio was threatening to turn his gun on himself. they followed him back to the home in bay point where he finally stopped driving. that led to a standoff that lasted about an hour or so. meanwhile, inside the home, investigators disco
