my colleague ken pritchett is near the curry fire, where yesterday it was a real problem. how is it doing to today, ken? >> reporter: well, right now we're standing atop a hill overlooking the curry fire. we're here so we can keep an eye on some of these small columns of smoke remaining that are coming up from the inside of the burn zone area. this is also a location right behind us where we've seen a pair of helicopters making waterdrops all day long. from newschopper2 you can get a -- you can get a better look at the curry fire. you can see the 300 acres that have burned as a result of this fire which started late yesterday afternoon. cal fire said the curry fire right now is 90% contained. a pair of helicopters continue to work the remaining hot spots of the curry fire today. this small upwell of smoke was a farmhouse. the only structured threatened by this bi fer -- wildfire. the home was undamaged. by this afternoon, the main task of inmate crews working this rugged terrain was to put out any remaining flames. >> they were just making sure that nothing pops up in one
