we want to go right out to sal castaneda who has had a busy morning this morning. hi, sal. >> it has been pretty busy for sure. let's go outside. e want to show you some pictures. it has been pretty slow on highway 4 this morning. we did have earlier issues on highway 4. you can see that traffic is still going to be a little bit slow coming up to the bay point area. no major problems here as you drive to concord, though. it just the slow traffic you are used to coming out of the east county. getting out to the toll plaza of the bay bridge, it has been up and down this morning now it is about maybe an eight to ten minute weight at the toll plaza. once you get on to the bridge it does move okay. on the peninsula we are doing pretty well. 101 and 280 not showing a lot of -- just a lot of censor -- road censors turning red or yellow. still green. across the bay 880 traffic looking okay. and still looking good from hayward to fremont so the commute hasn't turned really ugly and we hope it won't. here is mark. >> the big weather headline today the fog is back and a big t

ktvu's sal castaneda is in the city with the latest, sal -- >> reporter: this hill here is pretty steep, the car lost control and rammed down the hill here into that bus shelter where five people were hurt. as soon as rescue crews arrived they issued a yellow alert to let hospitals know of multiple casualties. a woman driving a gray ford explorer told them she lost control of the vehicle after it lost power. >> she lost the ability to break to steer the vehicle and as the vehicle was coming down the hill it gained speed. >> reporter: the suv eventually crossed the street and hit five people who were standing in the shade next to a bus shelter. the injuried were taken to the hospital. >> it'll take several weeks to several months to see what can be found about the vehicle. >> reporter: robert espinosa lives next to where the crash occurred. he says he's glad no one from his family was hurt, his vehicle though, was totals. >>> on any given day in san francisco, thousands of kids who should be in school are not. and today the mayor and school officials launched a campaign to track down tru

. >> sal castaneda is keeping an eye on a few things. i just found out about a problem. i want to update you on muni. we spoke with the ssmta spokesman, he says there was a door malfunction at the van necessary station, one of the doors wouldn't close or open safely. they had to take that out of service and that caused delays for people stuck on trains for a while. but now normal service has resumed, they have taken that car out of service. let's go to the live pictures now, traffic at the bay bridge toll plaza is busy, you're going to see slow traffic there. i would say it's slow as you drive into san francisco, a 50- minute delay. no major problems on the bridge. also this morning's commute is going to be okay if you are driving on 880 north and southbound. the traffic is moving along fine as you get into downtown oakland. and on the peninsula not one but two problems in the redwood city area, highway 101 now southbound before whip will avenue, a car involved in an accident, northbound 101 wood side there was an earlier crash there, so 101 is not your best call. i woul
