bob turk and bernadette woods are tracking it. bob? >>> take a look at the rain. it just moved into northern maryland and southern pennsylvania but extends down the east coast, particularly across the virginia, carolina area and all the way down to miami where it's heavy there as well. all this rain is moving from south to north along a stalled frontal boundary. that means heavy rain across much of the atlantic today and tomorrow. because of that we were have in effect flash flood watches. and in the bay along the coastal areas a high wind watch. bernadette joins us with more on the details. >>> at the 5:00 update ni choal as been -- nicole -- even though it may not have this official name, it will bring mass amounts of rain. it's a highway. with the setup with the storm track off to the west, it's funneling everything in our direction. the rain is only the beginning. the rain will continue to move our direction and pick up in intensity. during the day tomorrow the winds are also going to pick up. wind gusts for us probably 30 miles an hour. this zone is where we'

bernadette woods looking at 3 named storms on the map. >> reporter: it's the peak of hurricane season and you can see it on the map. starting out with igor because it's the strongest one. 144 mile-per-hour winds, it's moving northwest slowly and it's taking it towards bermuda. that's the concern with the storm. we'll talk about this one moving slowly straight through the weekend. now heading further out, julia, category 1 hurricane. it's really far out there and even when it makes the turn looks like it will stay out there. the newest one is karl. it's expected to keep strengthening and make its way over the peninsula. it looks like it will gain more strength over the southern parts of the gulf and making land fall in southern texas where there's a lot of storms this year. >>> no it was a hard-fought brawl but when it was over, the ravens came out on the road in the national spotlight. joining us now on the big win. >> denise, it's lived up to what is expected. the low-scoring match up, two defenses in a standoff and it's the ravens who stand tallest in the end. the look of disaster a

bob turk and bernadette woods are tracking it. bob? >> if you look at radar, there's a tremendous stream of moisture and it's moving almost due north from the carolinas into virginia and also along the lower eastern shore. let's change gears. i want to show you what's going on. you see a bit of a gap. now it's moderate to heavy rain, particularly in the eastern shore a band of heavy rain also to the west as you can see. as far as rainfall totals go the numbers are hum believably impressive. this band six to eight inches in some places, eight to 10 inches right along the central portion into eastern sections of harford harford. east of us a lot less. salisbury less than an inch. ocean city had almost nothing to this point, but probably see that change tonight. bernadette joins me with a look at the updated numbers and also dealing with the winds. bernadette? >>> over nine incheses of rain. annapolis. these have leveled off. with the new round coming in, these are going to come up. this has jumped over two inches in hagerstown and all of
