we had sun during the ravens victory dance but this morning, 64 in baltimore. 68 in easton. notice the 70s pushing towards ocean city, a sign of warm, very humid and very active air sliding through. look at the heavy rain rotating through the region. we'll have periods of rain that may cut off for a few hours but year not done. this afternoon, thunderstorms and high of 72. kim? >>> the drive times are up this morning because of the very wet roadways. drivers are kind of keeping their speeds down. we're working a handful of incidents around the area, mostly road hazards, especially in colombia, snowden river parkway and westbound route 100, that exit ramp is closed because of a fuel spill. we have reports of an object on the roadway, northbound on the jfx there at the beltway. northbound on the bw parkway at arundel mills circle, earlier crash blocking the right shoulder and just getting word of an accident, southbound 95 at the harford county line, this crash is blocking the two left lanes. >>> linda so is in the studio following the latest on one of today's top stories. >>

right now 72 ocean city and back towards easton. 60s to our west. you can see the defining line of rain. heavy rain from frederick back towards hagerstown, front royal got hit, back towards winchester. that main band is going to slide into the north but there's a line that extends just south of there towards fredericksburg, that is going to reach us as we head through this morning. there's a flash flood watch now for much of maryland, at least the counties west of the bay including harford, baltimore, anne arundel county, howard and carroll county for localized heavy downpours that could produce some street flooding. that is a coastal flood advisory if you're living by the bay. near 70 this morning. we'll break it up a little but still an isolated storm and high of 79 this afternoon. let's check the roads with kim. >>> as you make your way up and down the 95 corridor traffic moves very well. no problems on 95 southbound from harford county approaching the tunnels. and headed down towards 695 and 895 split. as we look at the drive times, on the harri

that stifling and the moisture level dew points up around 70, even 75 over here in easton. to so a, tremendous amount of moisture in the air. that can help fuel the showers and storms. as we look to the south, again, already seeing some light-to-moderate rain moving up into calvert county, southern maryland, that is on its way up into the baltimore area. we're getting a break now. make that run to the store because as we go into the next few hours we expect more heavy rain to trudge in out of the south. you can see the culprittings giant area of low pressure stalled out over western north carolina. just surging the moisture, showers and storms right into maryland here. so we're going to keep that going. the forecast model keeps the rain around tonight, this is 7:00 tomorrow morning, may still be a wet commute. finally the showers clear out by tomorrow afternoon. so that flood watch expires mid-morning tomorrow and and into wednesday a dry start but looks like more rain may come from the south wednesday night into thursday morning. overnight, 69. rain with a flood watch. som

seaboard ahead of this storm system and there's more to deal with this morning. 72 from baltimore through easton to ocean city. 70 york but 60s back towards hagerstown where they are getting hit with heavy rain. it just passed through. the rain starting to ease up. i wouldn't be surprise if no knocksy in frederick starts to flood out, that is usually the first one to go. heavy rain north of taneytown and just to the west side of westminster. 40 east is going to get wet. finksburg, it swings your way but taneytown has been getting turned on the last -- dumped on the last half-hour. that stuff continues to move through. wrapping around low pressure that is sitting on back towards our west. continues to pump in the warm air. the dry air swings through here by late morning and midday. we'll try to turn partly sunny, at least the skies will turn marlins and there will be an isolated thunderstorm that pops up in the afternoon. but the whole pattern stays with us, wrapping around this low pressure, notice the cloud band trying to slide from the north. that will be a cool weather setup into the weekend,

beginning to drop the humidity levels, still pretty muggy from easton through dover and down towards ocean city. as we look a little wider you can see our satellite view along with maryland's most powerful doppler radar, most of the wet weather now well offshore. so bottom line, we're looking at basically some much drier conditions for about 24 hours. but by this time tomorrow evening, we think more rain will develop and come out of the south. so watching for that. here's the center of that area of low pressure that brought us all the rain and storms over the last 24 hours. as we look off to the south here, this boundary along the coast, looks like we're going to get a storm forming there and that is going to continue to track well off to the north as well. there's that storm center, dry air works in. again, only for about 24 hours. we check out the forecast model, look down here off the carolinas, you can see that storm beginning to spin up and comes as a coastal loa low. into the overnight hours and into early thursday. this is going to be a tremendous amount of rain. at this point

we were up close to 80 and beyond in many places today. 81 from easton actually. and a little cooler in hagerstown at 77. much cooler out towards deep creek lake and temperatures falling a couple of degrees. humidity has begun to come down. joce nailed it earlier. it was muggy out early this morning but now you can see the high humidity levels over on the eastern shore. but western and central maryland now seeing that drier air work in. wish we could see that dry air would stick around a few days. it looks like 24 hours of drier air and rain-free conditions. although maybe just a renegade shower to the west. most of the rain is now just shore, but as we check the overall trend weatherwise, briefly drier air moving in but, as we look at the overall pattern, this dry air will work in only for about 24 hours before yet another storm spins up down in the carolinas. and you can see that here in the forecast model. watch as we work into the tomorrow afternoon. we're dry through the day. this storm really begins to get its act together tomorrow night. as we go into wedne

easton and cambridge is 59. fredericksburg 63. tappahannock, good morning to our friends in the northern neck, 68. national, the official washington reporting station is 68 with relative humidity 78% and the winds are calm. none to people speak of. acriminals the country looking at a couple of showers out west but really dry in colorado. big storms in kansas this morning. you can see how they are coming through kansas city. that moisture will gather. storm system will develop over there. it is going to move east northeast. we will watch this cool front across the region with not much moisture here. some showers in new england and then the rains through missouri and kansas. as we look at the nine future cast we will put that in motion for you. here's the front. maybe a few clouds with it is all we can muster. not going to get rain unfortunately. the showers to the north. tomorrow morning a little northwest breeze. looking pretty good. tomorrow looks like a nice day. high pressure builds in and then our attention to the west. this s
