abc 2 news and joce sterman is live in rosedale. how is it going out there. >> you know rosy, right now we're experiencing a bit of a call. that was not the situation earlier today. we've got some ominous clouds over here heading over by 695. but this was a reel problem spot here on poe las key highway, they shut this section of the road down today for quite a stretch because of some serious flooding. now here is the reason why. obviously this is a downhill stretch. if you're coming up from the other side of route 40 the other side of baltimore that's a downhill stretch too. all the water as it rained really intensely sort of collected in that little valley there, there was at one point a section where some rescue workers had to come out. we want to show you some of the video we shot. there was a swift water rescue team that came out earlier today. they were called out, got the boat in the flood water, luckily though they didn't have to use it which was a good thing. that water was still a reel problem anded unfortunately that team

jess joce sterman takes a look at why this kind of incident isn't as unusual as you would think? the scene at johns hopkins almost unimaginable to people here in baltimore as a shooter opens fire within the hospital walls. but unfortunately at hospitals around the country this kind of incident is very reel. so far this year, more than a half dozen hospitals have experienced shootings either within patient rooms or just beyond the doors outside. take a look at this video from cleveland where they dealt with two shootings at hillcrest hospital in the month of july. in one a husband gunned down his wife who was a patient. in another a man took his own life in the parking lot. knoxville has also had its own brush with dangers. this is the scene of a shooting when a gun man shot and killed a woman and two others before turning the gun on himself. but these facilities are not alone. in addition to cleveland and knoxville hospitals in winter happy florida, jacksonville, long island, new york, las vegas and baton rouge have all dealt with shootings this year. with the patients and staff
