it occurred at a marsh shopping center on northern parkway, it's east of lock raven boulevard. the police called here for a shooting that happened in front of a liquor store. they found the windows shot out at the cleaners and a person shot in front of the liquor store. supposedly, a security guard was chasing a gunman across the parking lot right to the intersection of northern parkway and lock raven boulevard where a person of interest has been taken into custody. we're told that a security guard pursuing him has been taken to the hospital. the details are sketchy and it's not clear if the security guard was shot, but a security guard was taken to the hospital. the police have the person of interest. they're searching the grounds for a gun that they believe was tossed aside. this is affecting not just traffic in the area but mercy high school located to the west of this intersection. they had a soccer game scheduled and they're being asked to suspend that for at least some period of time as the police activity continues here. at this point, it's believed that the police have

east cold spring lane, loch raven boulevard. we're still working an accident on the top side of the outer loop, headed towards the jfx earlier crash from before 5:00 in the morning, reported to involve a police cruiser. flooding a problem on patapsco avenue, we know how that goes on 895, standard operating procedure. liberty road, spun out vehicle off to the left shoulder on the outer loop, 795. this has pretty much been the big crash of the morning, 70 eastbound closed at route 29 because of an overturned tractor-trailer. they hope to have this reopened by perhaps 8:00 in the morning, but really that means no access to the beltway from the point of this crash. all the traffic being diverted onto route 29 southbound, a lot of heavy volume on 40 eastbound as well, expect it to be a slow ride towards the beltway. jamie, back to you. >>> other news of the day: we have breaking news here. tony kurtis passed away last night. appeared in such movies like some like it hot, operation petticoat and spartacus. he was 85 years old. >>> in
