brown could no longer argue that he was invalidly convicted or sentenced. but when it turned out that the urgency was really of the state's own making, and that's just what the court said, then all of a sudden, you know, they basically said back off, we're not going to shorten the time to appeal a lower court ruling that lifted an injunction that allowed these new procedures to take effect and we're not going to shorten our time to review it and the federal judge said i'm not going to shorten my time to decide whether these procedures are constitutional. just because you're running out of drugs, which you didn't really tell us ahead of time. so it was a fiasco, all right, and it really led to questions about kind of who's rung the sh show here. >> there's this controversy over the one drug versus three-drug protocol. why is california sticking with the three-drug when some of these states are doing just the one drug and it steemz to work -- >> ohio and washington have switched to one drug. the lawyers for the inmates in these proceedings, and they've gone o
