started in 1948 by poultry farmers romain stewart and lee jasper. the farm has grown into a hugely successful integrated operation involving thousands of acres of hauling, shelling, processing and marketing. the second and third generation of jaspers are running the business and finding new ways to market their nuts, including through people like mike and mike. >> you gotta start somewhere. you don't see too many people that come, want to buy a pick-up load of almonds and all of a sudden they're buying truckloads, but it's been great to see that progress. >> people like mama mallace's has made the almond industry as successful as it is. >> today, while maintaining their own business, the company supplies mama mallace with all of their almonds. and over the years, the two companies have come together and formed a unique partnership that, yes, even a mother could love. >> so even if it ended tomorrow, the people that we've made friends with; the people that we've reached out to, the things hat we've done, you know what, it's great. it really is great.

what do people take home from the euro's gemstones jasper and now a kind those are the stones they so shape with are original but this malakai is from africa most people are well aware of the fact there are still willing to buy an. artist a lego pile of cards flowers from stone he matches and with this petals with leaves made of nephrite nephrite leaves look exactly like the real thing spots and all. tiny silver pins are used to hold parts of the flower together because the glue doesn't last long alone the flower itself is more durable and it can never weather . the light radiates through its petals and the flower seems alive but looks are deceptive as the lifeless flower is hard and cool to the touch. stone as. if it doesn't feel like being a flower it's going to be one in the beginning on made several attempts to tame stones but nothing came of it. as a result i had a whole bucket of waste flows and leaves only then did i realize that stones could never be time to. display at the museum of stone. collector owns these pieces. his collection isn't limited to. he's devoted a lifetime t

this first one, jasper johns, it's a print that he gave to us that seemed absolutely appropriate. certainly fit into the category of america, iconic. what i found so poignant about it, that it's -- initially you see it as a jasper johns iconic image. which he's done for -- since the '50s. using the image of the american flag as a painting motif, as an iconic motif, et cetera. what's different about this one than other ones he's done in his past is he's added a flag pole. which i don't know how well you can see it here, but there's a very delicate line drawn that anchors the flag to this orange field. and it both seemed to evoke for me that image of the american flag planted on the moon, which was one of our triumphs. and also, there was such a kind of vulnerability to that heroic act, when you see that small flag in the vastness of space. and he kind of recalls that in this. but at the same time, he's also saying that that america needs to be anchored. that he no longer feels the confidence that he had in his past work, and had to ground it some way. so there's a tremendous, you k
