let's go live to ktvu's tara live on the scene. tara. >> reporter: well, sal, we just spoke to police and they say that this suspect is responding but it appears he may have been injured in this shootout. now we are here in a san jose neighborhood. some people have been evacuated. right behind me here you can see two blocks from where we're standing is where the suspect is in a car. he is armed and in a standoff with police. they are trying to get him to turn himself in. you can see that they've cornered a several blocks here around seminole and sam tampa way. you can see there are cops littered throughout the entire neighborhood. some over here and some over in this section as well. there are dozens and dozens of officers and s.w.a.t. teams that have just stormed this area. so a heavy, heavy police presence. now authorities have just loaded up with more ammunition apparently. and rifle specialists are hunkered down on the second story of a nearby home planning their strategy. now san jose police zeroed in on this man yesterday. th
