william mccovey on hand. we vaen seen him in a few weeks after his back surgery, handing out the mccovey award. it goes to andres torres for the most inspirational player. very significant award in the giants family. that set the table for an amazing night here in china basin. as for the game, we talked about matt contaane. on his birthday, he laid an egg. gave up six home runs to this one, adrian gonzalez, it's a homer in the third inning. giants fans still hung tough and continued to rally even though the padres had a 4-0 lead. how about the sixth inning rally, andres torres, mr. mccovey himself, the infield hit and all of a sudden it was 6-4. here comes the big mistake in the bottom of the ninth inning, aubrey huff with the fly ball out. a base-running mistake, he does not tag up. that killed the rally and essentially the game was over. the padres come in and steal game one, 6-4 your final. as expected inside that giants clubhouse, not the best place to be but the show goes on. let's bring in laura bankhe
