sharon chin is in oakland where a restaurant and a boat are burned. good morning to you, sharon. >> reporter: good morning. right here behind me the fire crews are still here on the scene spraying water on the roof at tiki tom's restaurant which was gutted in this three- alarm fire. we are on 29th avenue over the park street bridge. this fire broke out around 11:00 last night and firefighters say the entire building was in flames when they arrived. they say it appears that no one was inside. there are no reports of injuries. they don't even know at this point whether the restaurant was even opened at the time. now, fire officials say there was a pleasure boat tied to the dock that caught fire and ended up sinking. the fire was so intense, you could see towering flames, several blocks away from the freeway. now, to protect the nearby condominiums here, as well as the rest of the dock, the fire crews said that they used a fire boat that was decommissioned because of budget cuts several years ago. but still maintained for earthquake emergencies. >> the b
