in concord leslie brinkley, abc 7 news. >> it's 4:33. oakland police are warning women to watch out after a string of sexual assaults in one of the safest areas of the city. abc 7's terry mcsweeney is live near lake merritt with details. >> it is one of the safest neighborhoods in oakland but four sexual assaults in the past five months have people thinking otherwise. the most recent attack happened monday night about 10 p.m.. take a look at the area where it happened. you look at a video from jackson street. again about 10:00 it happened. police say a man followed a woman into her apartment building complex. he then sexually assaulted her and brutally beat her inside the apartment complex, not inside her home. other assaults in the past few months, january 18th a man attacked a woman off lake shore avenue in the early evening. she was sexually assaulted and she was robbed twice in the same day in september. two women attacked and robbed out here. now, one on the 1400 block of third avenue and the other east 18th street and lake shore. p
