i'm dana king. >>> for the first time we hear from witnesses to that beating of a giants fan outside dodger stadium. not only did they see it, they tried to catch the attackers. robert lyles. >> reporter: the husband and wife are big dodgers fans and have been going to opening games for more than a decade. they were walking out with their daughter when they heard the first punch and turned to see what was happening to brian stowe the giants fan from santa cruz. >> we heard a punch, at least that's what i heard, a solid punch to the head and we saw the victim, brian, get knocked to ground and he just fell over like a log, straight to the ground, back of his head onto ground. at that point the attacker, one of them, came over and started kicking him in the head and that's when i decided i was going to get involved at least get over there and chase them away if not get involved myself. unknown to me they started following me and i got up to the thug kicking him and i was yelling at him get off him and he tried to again punch him but he was so drunk he basically almost fell over, looked
