david stevenson, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, david. >> we want to take you back live right now to the burbank airport as the camera is closing in on the ambulance there at the center of your screen. and that's where bryan stow is in that ambulance getting ready to board that private medical jet that will take him up to san francisco. we do see some of the medical technicians there, by the plane making some final preparations. again, as david was mentioning, bryan stow was beaten outside giants' stadium. he was put in a medically- induced coma for several weeks. they tried several times to take him off the medications but he had some seizures. he's off the medication now. he's in a coma state but his family says he does respond to some stimulation. so it's hoped that when brought to the bay area, he will be closer to his family, home and friends that the hospital will be able to treat him and help him -- it will be a slow recovery but again, make somewhat of a recovery from the situation from his medical situation right now, which is still deemed very serious. it looks like they
