kiet do is in hayward where michelle le was last seen last friday. good morning, kiet. >> reporter: good morning. it has been four days since michelle le went missing but this is still officially a missing persons case. today hayward police will be talking with fairfield police about a similar case involving another nursing student missing from last year. now, last friday at 7:00 here at hayward, michelle le went missing at about 7:00 in the evening at class at kaiser hospital. she was supposed to go to reno with friends but her car was found locked and parked a few blocks away. compare that to this case. phuong le disappeared in fairfield in april of last year. phuong le was found dead in napa county. that murder is unsolved. both victims share the same last name, both nursing students, vietnamese in their mid-20s and both drive white hondas. last night in hayward, family members passed out flyers to get the word out about a $20,000 reward and they are terribly worried. >> for her, this is very unusual. she is very responsible. much more responsible

in hayward, lilian kim, abc7 news. >>> 4:35. the c.h.p.'s crackdown on drunk drivers continues tonight. so far, the c.h.p. says the dui arrests and traffic deaths are down this memorial day weekend. c.h.p. officers arrested 897 drivers for dui. in the bay area from friday evening through 6:00 a.m. yesterday. last year, at the same time, the c.h.p. made 1,029 dui arrests. statewide, traffic deaths over the holiday weekend are also down this year from seven in 2010 to just one so far this holiday. the c.h.p. will continue its maximum enforcement effort through midnight tomorrow. bart is on a sunday schedule on the memorial day holiday but you can still see possible delays of between 20 and 40 minutes because of ongoing work inside the transbay tube. the transit agency shut down one of two tracks in the tube overnight. to perform maintenance and repairs on cables that provide power to the system. trains will be limited on trips through the tube until 2:30 this afternoon. passengers on the san francisco side who want to get to fremont and dubli

the nursing student from oakland was last seen at kaiser hospital in hayward on friday where she was doing a clinical rotation as part of her course work as a nursing student. classmates say she left during a break and never returned. police later found her car parked across the street from the hospital. we're told lee had planned to spend the weekend with a female friend in reno but that friend says lee never showed up. investigators are trying to determine if foul play was involved with this disappearance. they say where they found the car and what they found inside has raised some red flags. >> the vehicle was secured and there were valuables inside of it, when in and of itself is suspicious, if in fact this is some sort of foul play is occurring here. it's not standard for criminals to lock up vehicles and make sure everything is secure before they leave. >> reporter: among the valuables found in that car was a laptop computer. i just spoke to the spokeswoman at lee's school, she told me lee's classmates are all praying for a positive outcome. live in hayward, monte francis, nbc
