meteorologist john collins is here. you have been very busy. >> we were talking yesterday about the chance of rain today. we do have some storms in the area. they are isolated and covering a small portion of the viewing area. in howard county, a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect. i have circled things to give you a reference point. west of the city in howard county, we see a pretty good thunderstorm cell moving to the southeast. it is moving towards anne arundel county. it is moving at 26 miles an hour. it will reportedly have some hail. it reaches towards montgomery county and sugar land and on towards northern virginia as well. let's look at the warnings. there is a watch covering our area until midnight. the brighter yellow for baltimore and howard county have a warning until 6:30. the district of columbia has a new warning out until 7:00 this evening. we will keep track of the storms as they move across the area. we will let you know what will happen with the complete forecast in just a minute. >> investigato

now back to john collins. >> thank you. sunny skies are soon coming up. ritter satellite combination, all is quiet. a big area of high pressure over head. everything west has to be pushed around that high. you see these storms being deflected southward from illinois and wisconsin. storms stay away. look at the current conditions. 70 in annapolis. on the boardwalk, we saw that view of the boardwalk and the beach at ocean city this morning. 63 degrees. edgewood, 64. frederick, 50's in western maryland. this is the satellite picture. all these storms out west. they get pushed to the south. they cannot move into that area of high pressure. this height will slide further ease. it will allow the unsettled weather out west to get closer to us. by the end of the holiday weekend, rain chances do increase. rain tends to be scattered. that will probably be the case. the rain has missed my backyard. mostly sunny skies today and pleasant. northwest wind at 5 to 10 miles per hour. high tide coming up in the next hour and again at 7:40 this evening. the dry conditions w

he talked about lawmakers and we know he did this last night, along with eric cantor and john collins, and the only veto line he drew was on some sort of short-term extension. if you want to read between the lines, it's what he didn't say, he didn't outline a security proposal, why? because if it were really on the table and couldn't happen, he might try not to sell it. but it looks like this middle deal is where all the action is, at least today. it was almost as if he seemed resigned that that was the target at this point, which was about a $2 trillion to 2.$2.5 trillion deal. >> the president -- has caused a number of stories today about his leadership, does he have control of his caucus, and no one should be surprised given the tea party component coming into washington, against so much of what the standing government army stands for. >> and the president said the tea party movement that swept speaker boehner into that top job is better for midterm politics than it is for governing. it was very notable how many times he praised in a muted fashion but clearly praised speaker boehne

you have described it, collin miler described it to us. it was carried out by the i.t. department and overseen by the director of legal affairs, john chapman, and the human resources director, personnel director, daniel cloak. is that an accurate description? >> that is my understanding. >> can you tell us why john chapman has left the organization? >> john chapman and the organization decided it was in mutual interest to part ways. and i think one of the pieces here as well is for the company to move forward is for -- and i think this is important. many of the individuals, even if there is -- if there's no evidence of wrongdoing or anything like that, and i think that -- and no evidence of impropriety, many individuals have chosen that it's time to part ways. i was not involved with the discussions with mr. chapman. >> so you have no evidence of any complicity to cover up the existence of the file? >> i do not have that. >> can you tell us the employment status of daniel cloak? >> mr. cloak left the company some time ago and i don't know his employment status. he's not
