let's remember that iraq, and martin bashir just talked about the debacle in iraq. the one thing he should have said which he didn't was the actually combat in iraq was easy. it was over in a matter of a few weeks. the problem was winning the peace. that's where i don't think we've really thought this through. we don't know how we're going to proceed. this is where the challenge comes. >> what about gadhafi's sons? a couple now being held by the rebels. does that affect the dynamics of what this end game may look like? >> yes, it does, in a way. because what we are now witnessing is the reduction of the gadhafi state into just another nonstate actor. in other words, gadhafi's allies will be reduced to the status of yet another militia. that adds to the militia anarchy that we all fear will likely take place. because there is no clear chain of command. there are no formal groups and leaders. there's the ntc headed by salam and mahmoud jabril. it's really chaotic at this point. we really need to wait and see how all of this turns out. >> tony, some folks are raising c
