let's talk about bart. right now, everything is on time all trains including those heading into san francisco. but as we have been talking about this morning, planned protests for later on this evening around 4:30, 5:00, protestors expected to block the gates right there by the powell street station. so plan accordingly again. this is just affecting the evening commute home. but we're expecting more people to hit the roads for that reason including at the bay bridge toll plaza, where the metering lights remain off for right now. you can see that fastrak middle lanes get by okay. cash lanes slight delays. but expect when they turn those metering lights on we start to see the backups begin. san mateo bridge the commute direction, westbound 92 looks great. a 13-minute drive right now between 880 and 101. it looks like whatever was blocking some lanes there on westbound 92 by clawiter is now picked up. it was a big piece of metal -- scrap metal on the roads. so that's now gone so all lanes open. the marin count

bart has a 54 space parking lot across from the bart station on boss worth street. this is their only san francisco parking lot. there are more trend -- they are more in the suburban locations. it cannot be used for anything else. bart has expressed interest in developing the allot as some kind of mixed use development, but they have not come forward with a specific proposal. they have a development team we're working with and we have been communicating with them as well. while the plan does not recommend rezoning a lot at this time -- there may be a use for the lot that contributes to the vibrancy of the village and stays open to the possibility. what they have communicated to us is they are interested in conducting a separate community process once it is conducted and that will follow. given these special qualities and challenges, the goals of the community planner is to protect and strengthen the character of this vibrant village area. the balance of use of streets with the interest in livability. this is a great photograph of the boss worth underpass. there are

another bart protest is heating up. within the last hour, bart official closed the powell street station. linda yee is at that station with the latest. >> reporter: dana, just after they closed the station, they did move in. bart police moved in and made several arrests. we know of at least a half dozen at this point and because the station is still closed as you can see behind me they are still making those arrests. san francisco police also moved in at one point during the very noisy and rowdy demonstration. but then they backed off and as you can see, they have formed lines out here at the top of the plaza. the protestors have started out trying to be peaceful or so they claim that they weren't there to be arrested. they said they really wanted to block the fare gates to make a point to bart administration that they need to disband their police force or they will come out here and demonstrate every week. well, once they got close to those fare gates, that's when the bart police moved in. so right now, that is the sta
