just before ten a ford escape started smoking near toll booth 16. with in a half hour the flames had been put out and the suv had been towed away. >>> the mother accused of dropping her child out of a second story window faces attempted murder and child abuse charges. she has a history of mental illness. police say she dropped her 22- month-old son out the window and then jumped out. the child only had bumps and bruises. she broke both ankles. >> just a few hours ago the man thought to have shot and paralyzed a decorated soldier turned himself in. the soldier was shot attending his homecoming party. greg mills. >> reporter: her son chris sullivan was shot in the neck at his welcome home party. he is on life support in the hospital. police a 19-year-old in custody. sullivan's family said he and the suspect went to high school together. they weren't friended or enemies, just knew each other. sullivan was on leave. he was celebrating at a friend's house. a witness said sullivan's younger brother tried to break up an argument over nfl football. he said
