last week livermore police arrested 40-year-old marie johnson. she began extincting texts with the 14-year-old. police say it grew into a sexual relationship over six months, beginning in december 10. police don't believe there was more than the one child involved. >>> changes proposed in governor brown's budget plan could make it harder for college students to get state-funded financial aid. the minimum grade point average needed to qualify for a cal grant would be increased from 3.0 to 3.25. the governor is proposing -- -- [ unintelligible ] >>> city officials in dublin will consider a new smoking crackdown targeting retailers the council will look into setting limits on where retailers can be located the goal to keep cigarette sales from places where you might find children. the city will discuss new licensing fee for tobacco retailers. in 2006 dublin became the first bay area city to declare secondhand smoke a public nuisance. >>> 6:36. if you didn't get a hint when you stepped out of bed this morning, when you open the door to leave you will

marie johnson was arrested at her home in livermore. police received a tip about a possible sex crime with marie johnson and a young boy. police say johnson had oral sex and sexual relations with the 14-year-old boy where she communicated with him first on facebook and texting. police don't believe there are other suspects but they are asking students to talk to their kids about the nature of their interactions with johnson. according to the web page, she teaches geometry and algebra. police say she had sex with the boy in her car and other locations in livermore and the crimes happened in 2010 since may of last year. and there are questions whether or not the boy is a student at the school or from somewhere else. >>> nicholas is a teacher at the antioch high school. now pennsylvania state police have evidence that he had sexual relations with a 15-year- old student when he was teaching in that state five years ago. they have now placed him on administrative leave and they have informed parents about the charges in pennsylvania. >>> tim

good morning, san jose, 40 for you. 46 in livermore. we have a little bit of fog here and, there but notice it is definitely a warm start to 2012. the fog is by the delta, less than a quarter mile visibility. and some fog tense to form in santa rosa and livermore and concord this morning. so that may be a problem, but, you know, that sun is going to bring us warmer conditions and dissipate the fog very quickly. compared to yesterday, we are 11 degrees warmer in napa, 13 degrees warmer in novato, and elsewhere some areas are even cooler. so you will notice san jose is cooler as well as santa rosa this morning. so this morning we are looking at some changes for the week ahead because we were hoping to see a little bit of rain. and now it looks like with the warmer air today we've got a spare the air. high pressure is in control. it really changes again tomorrow. a few weak systems come our way. not only one tomorrow that could bring sprinkles far north but another one that was thought to bring us measurable rain on thursday. now that does
