pamela? >> this is quite the scene at friendly high school that unfolded at 8:30 during the basketball game. officers were trying to escort a couple of disorderly student out of the bleachers. during that time, one of the officers and the student that he was escorting fell down the bleachers. according to the police, as other officers tried to render aid to injured officer, the crowd closed in on them. they used pepper spray to disperse the crowd for their own safety. >> the officers felt threatened by the crowd that was coming upon them as they were trying to escort the injured officer out of the school. >> the police say none of the students were injured. once the officer that fell from the bleachers, he suffered minor injuries but is expected to be ok. again, five are arrests of friendly high school students, some of the charges including assault on an officer in charges related to property damage. a window at the front entrance was damaged and other property. it has the latest. pamela bro

. >> pamela levin, department of building inspection. i want to go over the digitization project and then turn it over to the records management staff, if you have questions, and they will talk about how the project will aid the process for 3-r reports. currently, we have two positions in our budget for this project. we have looked at the volume of what needs to be done and we think we need an additional five more. we will be bringing justification to you for that during the budget process. the funding through 2011-12, we have set aside $1.7 million. we estimate that we will need a total of $5 million for this project. this is based on experience of other jurisdictions. we've also have estimated the project duration, once we get a contract and start the project, between three years and five years. as i said, and the volume of records to be digitized is quite large. we have 16 millimeter microfilm. i have examples of what they are. 1200 rolls of 16 millimeter microfilm, which is this. they have job cards, certificates of final completion

. >> pamela. we have to items -- two items under number seven. the first is the monthly financial report, and then there will be a short discussion about the budget instructions for the 2012-13 budget. in first i wanted to mention, in terms of revenue, we have separated the revenues that are four charges for service from the revenues from the mou's which basically include bit transbay joint power authority and the court, and we have projected to have more revenue throughout the year, so this is an actual plus protection. so far we have 43.8 in terms of the budget, and we have 42 -- 52.2 percent signed of the budget for the regular charges for service. one of the things we do look at and have started to look at is what the changes are in terms of valuation of issue permits, because that is a measure of how well we are doing. and we are actually, when you look at a year over year this year versus year to date last year, we are seeing an increase in valuation of issue permits of almost 43 percent signed, and we provided a sketch will in the report t

president hechanova: thank you very much, pamela. commissioners, any questions? >> i have a question. thank you very much. i think it is great that we are operating in the right direction. the year rosarrows go the right. a couple of questions. do we resell the cars? what do we do with the ones we have when we get new ones? >> that's a little bit of a challenge. we turn them in to central shop. they then auction them. we've been told we get the credit. the last time we turned in any vehicles was before my day. i do not actually see the money. that is something we would push. they are our assets. we pay for them. >> the other question involves the code-enforcement outreach groups and programs and the additional moneys. we have heard testimony here. there was also a hearing at the board of supervisors that there may be some issues with senior outreach. maybe we could talk to the outreach groups about adding some outreach focus to make sure the issuesq7a the hearing are addressed better. since we are giving them more money, it makes sense that we looked at it. some
