police can't say if amber was the intended target. they were called to the home around 10:23 last night with a report of a shooting. and when they arrived, they did find amber dead from the gunshot wounds. forensic investigators spent most of the night combing the home in the area looking for evidence even looking in trash cans and gutters. neighbors say amber lived in the home with her mother and adult sister, her sister's young son and a foster child a girl said to be in the 11th grade. they don't believe the mother was home at the time of the shooting according to neighbors. they describe amber as a quite the studious girl who didn't run around with a lot of friends. she was in the accelerated honors program at flowers high school. friends and neighbors are saddened and shocked. >> sad, disappointed, scary. she used to ride around the street from school and [ indiscernible ] her life was short and she could have went to college, she was obviously had good grades and she was on honor roll. >> when you find out somebody's just like p

in amber alert issued earlier today, a 17 year-old oakland mother and her two month old daughter have been found safe but police are still looking for the father who they say kidnapped them at gunpoint last night. kristin harris is in oakland with the latest >> that suspect is still on deluz tonight. the good news is that the mother and baby had been found and are safe tonight. police found the 17 year-old and her infant daughter in oakland this afternoon. the baby's father had kidnapped the two of them at gunpoint wednesday night. he had reportedly been the mother, hitting her over the head while she was holding her child. he also threatened to kill her according to witnesses. police issued an amber alert but around 230 this afternoon working on an investigative leave, they found mother and child in good health. they're not saying how or where they were found because they want to protect them. the suspect was nowhere to be seen at the time and is still on loose tonight. >> law enforcement is still treating him as armed and dangerous. he did force the victim and the infant into a vehi
