get a look at the roadways out there >> word of breaking news across the benicia bridge thanks to the kcbs phone forced letting us know about a possible police chase on the north end of the bridge. apparently the chase ended southbound 680 with a possible car fire. traffic is stacked up on east bound 780 and southbound 680 heading towards martinez. we will continue to follow that story but if traffic backs up you may want to consider the cardenas bridge as an alternate. everything is moving fine from the bridge all the way down to richmond and berkeley. elsewhere in the east bay, northbound 880 is slowing nicely passed the coliseum. we had an earlier problem approaching the 980 interchange. there was debris in the roadway and about four vehicles stalled because they rolled over that debris. everything is cleared to the right-hand shoulder or gone. southbound 880 is fine all the way to the airport. here is a live look at the bay bridge were so far, no metering lights and no major delays. maybe some slight slowdown is but fast-track is just fine. san mateo bridge, no incidents were problems
