. >>> "good morning maryland," i'm megan pringle. >> and i'm charlie crowson. we begin this thursday with breaking news out of east baltimore. an overnight house fire leaves five people dead including three children. >> it happened at a home near you this goode marshall high school. as well as abc2news.com but right now to the team coverage for you. abc2 news' sherrie johnson on the scene, what can you tell us? >> reporter: well, we are here yes in northeast baltimore and as you can see behind me here, firefighters are still on the scene of this early morning fire. we have learned that five people have died in the fire. two firefighters were also injured. we have four children that died and one adult. the call came out about 2:00 this morning. crews responded here to 5601 denwood avenue and found the row home engulfed in intense flames. right now, i have chief kevin cartwright with the baltimore city fire department joining me live here. you know, chief, just -- a very sad scene this morning. four children, tell me a little bit about what happened this morning.
