god bless sharon from alaska. [applause] for those of you who are not clapping, the reason people are clapping is because sharon kept jack kemp out of a lot of trouble. [applause] i think sharon packed away these newspapers from 1980 one and heard marco mentioned the economic recovery act of 1981. there is a story behind it. the kemp history has collected much of the story, but "the washington post" saved by sharon alaska -- i got incredibly distracted by all of the cool stuff. i come upon these stories. one is from july 25, 1981. about president reagan going on to the hill to pitch his bill. the next is from july 30, 1981. this feels kind of awkward. there are two stories here. both of them have dad's picture on the front. the second expands the story of how the legislation passed. some of you know the history better than me, but asked legislation is not always pretty. and this country when we have public servants like paul ryan and marco rubio and like president obama, both democrats and republicans who are serv

cold air coming right down out over the gulf of alaska tomorrow. we'll make it tuesday and wednesday morning. could be the coldest we have seen in awhile. cloudy, windy, light rain right now. the whole system is moving in and it looks like setting imfor what could be a very busy end of the week. light rain in the morning and windy and mild. this is a south wind. some of the rain does not show up. some does. just kind of meandering north. napa county off to some areas. all the way down to livermore. it's kind of a misty drizzly pattern all the way in. it's it will be with us in the morning and then it will taper off later on. then we will focus our attention on all the cold air coming in. very mild right now. 50s. everyone is close here. 52-55 degrees. that southeast wind has really warmed us up even in the mountains. now 37 tahoe. 57 ukiah. 48 in redding. more rain will move to the north. that seems to be the focus where the heavier rain is. for us it will be light rain in the morning. windy day. very mild. sun clouds later. highs today r50s and lo

but we have a cold storm heading in our direction dropping out of the gulf of alaska. here it is here. doesn't have a whole lot of rain it just because it's cold but boy it's going to be chilly in spots and there's snow in the mountains. around the states fog in the central valley. showers on the increase in the northern parts of california. and for us we are going to have to wait a little while for the storm system. we'll see increasing clouds clout the day, patchy fog at the coast. storm clouds this evening and later tonight, rain becoming more likely around 11:00 or so and looks like around the bay area for tomorrow morning's commute. looks like back to wet weather in the bay area but not for the better part of the day, should stay dry. 64 dry in san jose. 57 cool in pacifica. 60 hayward. east bay temperatures up in the 50s and 60s this afternoon. and inside the bay you will see those temperatures in the 50s and 60s. clouds on the increase and rain developing into the evening hours in the north bay and across the rest of the bay area overnight tonight into tomorrow.
