he was shooting video at the finish line when the bombs went off and he spoke with scott pelley on last night's "cbs evening news." >> i was at the finish line about 2:50 p.m. getting runners coming across. folks running in the four-hour zone. there were 9,000 people still on the course. i was squared up right on the finish line and to my right out of blue there was a thud noise and smoke went up in the air. for a split second you thought is this some kind of a firework for a runner, famous runner coming across, a few photographers ran toward the area and as we're running probably under 20 seconds later the second bomb went off up one block up so we knew it was serious. you could immediately see the carnage and people and pools of blood and cuts from the glass. the marathon sports building glass blew out of the front window and it was pure chaos as you can imagine. we already had medical folks in the medical tent treating marathon runners and now they're involved in a triage situation scrambling. saw one gentleman whose leg was severed off at the knee and there were more injuries like t
