tara moriarty is at 50th avenue and san leandro street. tara. >> reporter: you can see where the car slammed into the fire hydrant it knocked it off completely off the sidewalk here. you can see where the water gushed down the street. over here is a bunch of debris where the car slammed into the side of the building. now a motorist struck the fire hydrant at 50th avenue and san leandro street at 2:15 this morning. a man in his 20s appeared to be intoxicated. but tests will need to confirm that. the driver walked away pretty much without a scratch. but witnesses say he was emotional and handcuffed when he was taken away to the hospital. the owners didn't want to speak to ktvu on camera. we believe they live nearby. as of now the driver has not been charged with any crime. as you can manage imagine the water was flowing down the street. no homes sustained any flooding damage that we can see. no word on how much it will cost to fix the store. we don't know how fast the driver was going but if he is found at fault it will cost more than $10,00

ktvu's tara moriarty has been on this since 4:30 this morning. she's back now with the new information just released by antioch police in the past hour. >> reporter: well, within the past half-hour, the victim's pastor show under here. he's going -- showed up here. and he's comforting some of the children inside the home. you can imagine how traumatized they were. right behind me is the home where they say that a 23-year- old man broke down the door, part of the lock and bolts were ripped right out of the doorframe. police say jimmy bills of antioch shot his ex, a 22-year- old and her 46-year-old mother, then turned the gun on himself. he died at the scene at the home on the 2500 block of yorkshire drive. this all unfolded at 10:45 last night. witnesses say the victims were airlifted to the hospital suffering nonlife-threatening injuries. the mother was reportedly shot in the stomach, the daughter in the leg. she called 911, then ran next door for help and neighbors say they are simply stunned. >> yeah. we know them very well. really shocking
