[speaker not understood] naturally, congestion, noise, thing like that that inconveniences and changes in their normal life. but i think to their great credit, the organizers have been willing to engage sincerely with neighborhood. there have been a number of meetings with the community. they've already been discussed. large meetings, small meetings, meetings at different housing areas as well. and in those meetings the organizers and live nation have been open. they have been -- they have been willing to share information.

also give you a look at the traffic on city streets heading to the golden gate bridge looking down on lombard where it's slow. now, it's because as allen just said only three lanes are open northbound on the golden gate bridge when there are usually four. so what was the problem to begin with? it was paving work done overnight and the asphalt unraveled due to the way it was set. it began to break up, sent pieces of rock everywhere during morning commute. earlier this afternoon, bridge officials partially shut down the freeway so a sweeper could clean it up. as of now, 1,000-foot section of the middle lane is near the north tower, remains closed until it can be repaired later tonight. >> but it was a roadway hazard. the unraveling asphalt was in chunks and, you know, it was flipping up and, you know, hitting windshields. it was a hazard. so we had to shut things down partially, get the cleaning equipment here. >> reporter: and let's check our traffic map. so again, you can see a little bit of slowing on northbound 101 heading towards the golden gate bridge. but again, this is the evening rush.
