i'm matt keller in for eric thomas. >> i'm kristen sze. downed trees, power knocked out, cars hit by branches, all the result of a night of very windy weather across the bay area. and it continues. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield starts off our team coverage in diablo. >> we had a tree down right here in the middle of this road and the last 30 minutes they've brought a chainsaw out here and managed to break it up into some pieces and move it out of the way. you can see it's still a mess out here. lots of debris that comes down along with these trees. and to show you a better example of that, look at this video we took overnight in oakland where a tree came down and also a lot of leaves and branches along with it. this happened at skyline and redwood road near highway 13 and when this tree came down, it even started a small fire that didn't do a lot of damage and was put out quickly. but when it comes down, it brings trouble with it. the winds were very powerful overnight, just causing all kinds of problems around the bay area. >> even c

i'm kristen sze. b.a.r.t. is up and running again this morning after the agency and its unions reached a tentative deal to end a four-day strike last night. but only half the normal number of trains are now on the tracks after a two-hour delay to the start. at the walnut creek station first train arrived after 6:00 a.m. it was announced last night b.a.r.t. service would resume at 4:00 this morning, limited service. but commuters who arrived at that hour found the system was not properly staffed. full service is expected to return by this afternoon commute. hopefully better than, but this morning not too good, leyla. >>> not at all. we have a sigalert on the bay bridge. if you're traveling in the westbound direction, taking a look from our cell 7 technology, a shot here looks like we have an attenuator pushing traffic to the right hand side. two lanes remain blocked because of this motorcycle crash. so as you make that drive coming out of the maze and into san francisco, it is going to be one long slow ride. kr

i'm kristen sze. i'm eric thomas. >>> it's in richmond, firefighters and safety crews trying to upright an overturned propane tanker that force evacuation. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live at the scene. amy? >> reporter: tank is leaking propane, it's right behind me. you can see it's flipped over right here at carlson boulevard in richmond, next to interstate 80. and there is a hotel right next to it. here is carlton boulevard. i called the hotel, the employee who answered the phone told me they have evacuated about ten people who were in the rooms facing the freeway right there next to where the tanker is. firefighters tell us they are testing the air and the leak and the air around that with some air monitors. they are describing the leak as a small one. >> like i mentioned there is a small leak, not enough for us to notice. we know the propane is odorized. had there been a larger leak, we would have an order as well as other signs we were able to be able to see with our monitors. we have u

. >> i'm kristen sze. >> a man tried to get a young student into his pickup truck in redwood city. matt is live at john f. kennedy middle school where this happened. >> reporter: school officials told me they talked with students about what happened here yesterday, as police are trying to track down this suspect. parents went the extra mile today getting their kids to class at kennedy middle school in redwood city. yesterday morning a student said he was walking to class in this parking lot when a man in a pickup truck stopped, offered him marijuana and asked him to get in. the student immediately went to the office to report the incident. school officials called police. >> it's scary. it's scary because my child comes here. you never know. >> reporter: the redwood city school district sent out an e-mail to parents saying what happened. kennedy middle school officials called home and teachers spoke to students in class about the incident reminding them what they should do if they see or experience something suspicious. >> i always tell them to go to the office. >> to be office. >>

. >> and i'm kristen sze. we begin with the deadly accident on b.a.r.t. tracks. two employees killed on the tracks on the second day of a strike. we're live in oakland with the latest. knick? >> reporter: good morning. we're here because workers continue to hold the line at the lake merritt station. they're quiet, somber, but they've not given up their fight on this, two days after two b.a.r.t. employees were hit and killed. investigators with national transportation and safety board took over the accident scene on sunday and spent most of the day inspecting the train and conferring with the state and local counterparts. this week, the inspection -- the officer in charge and his team will interviewer everyone on board, and the operator of the train will be tested for drugs and alcohol, standard operating procedure. safety records will be used and digital data will help determine who was in the cabin of the train and the speed at the time of impact. >> when you have a high-speed train going down where people are on the tracks, on automatic pilot, when the protocol
